“LA RATA”

if you’re reading this i probably owe you an apology. by the time i finished working on NEXT TIME, the concept of making music at all seemed very exhausting to me. i had no idea what i wanted to do next, and i was generally very jaded, uninspired and unapologetically distrustful of my peers. however, seeing how much that project resonated with the people in my life as well as people i’d never met before in places i’d never been eventually placed a huge battery in my back to work on something. so why did i want to make this one a western film? one, because we are in the most hyper-surveilled, every-man-for-himself, duct tape on the switch ass, loneliness as a blanket ass time that i’ve ever experienced in my thirty years on this cursed ass planet and two, because i felt like i needed this project to be something greater than it is in order to justify working on anything. but in turn i also learned that things don’t need to be greater than they are in order to be great at all. this album represents all of that to me. and as a result, this is my proudest and least compromising body of work as an artist so far. i am eternally grateful for all of the people i was able to trust to help me bring this to life. @martinjballou @maroonmo0d @ruhng @ishgenius777 @luka.forreal @bunmiabari @mell0_vibe @3sidedezi @trumannali @derekfilms @jahknowone @jasminefoe @internetsuicidecult - thank y’all! i couldn’t have pulled this off without all of you. so again, i should probably apologize for the wait - but i’m honestly too satisfied with the end result to do so. i just hope the experience justifies it for you. my second album “THE HOUSE THAT HATE BUILT” releases everywhere on february 13th 2026. preorder link up now on my bandcamp.
