TY students visited the Breast Unit in UHL today to donate proceeds from their fundraising event this year along with Ms. Moran and Ms. Keehan. The school raised an amazing €700 that will go directly into funding the breast care unit and all of the invaluable work they do there.
We are delighted that Thomond Community College has been awarded the Amber Flag once again, recognising our ongoing commitment to student wellbeing.
At Thomond, we place huge importance on creating a supportive school environment where every student feels valued and cared for. This year, our new wellbeing initiatives included a dedicated Wellbeing Wall, a monthly wellbeing newsletter, sharing updates through Student Voice classes, increased in-class movement activities led by TY students, and the delivery of DECIDER skills to support students’ emotional wellbeing — amongst many more initiatives around healthy eating, inclusion, anti-bullying, and allyship for all.
We are incredibly proud to be recognised again for this work and remain committed to supporting the wellbeing of our entire school community.
Last Friday was a very special occasion for us at TUS Midwest Access Service. We had the pleasure of hosting our annual GO4IT graduation. This year was extra special as it marked 20 years of this collaboration with @corpuschristimoyross@thomondprimary@thomondcc@northsidefrc
A valued partnership that fosters learning and inclusion, broadens participation and nurtures young people from an early age, empowering them to a bright, successful future.

Well done to the winners of the Design Your Own Book Cover Competition 😀 Students were inspired by the books in their school library to create their own book covers. This fun whole school competition was organized by the TY Management students 😊❤️
The Thomond Community College Dungeons and Dragons Club meet every Wednesday after school in the library. We will be looking for new members to join in September so do come along then if you are interested or ask librarian, Ms Bingham-Shee for details 🤩🐉
