DO NOT DISTURB 😌Out of office break for the holiday weekend with the boys camping by @greatsanddunesnps at the amazing @ramble.camp sites. A four hour drive from Denver through scenic routes in the Rocky Mountains with limited to none cellphone service. Shout out to @jalenbazile@dlopezesq44 and @thomasvhoffmann for summiting the Blanca Peak at 14,345 ft of elevation while I rested in my hammock and chilled with @matt.tarro at base camp for a much needed rest before resuming our work with teens @campingtoconnect next week, and bringing teenage boys of color from NYC to Colorado for the Fjallraven Classic USA 2024, where we’ll be backpacking 33 miles of the Us Continental Divide. A big shoutout to @msr_gear and @thermarest for providing us with reliable mountaineering equipment to thrive outside ⛺️ and to our friends @alltrails for keeping us on track! 🥾⛰️
As the seasons change we are beginning to reflect on what has been accomplished this year to you all days like these.
We are excited to formally announce all our manufacturing partners in the coming days. As a small business the way we collaborate is really what defines us. We are urgently working to get our products in the hands of people ready for adventure.
It’s been a rocky road developing our company and we know that while it’s been bumpy there’s been no other trail to get where we are going. We are committed to delivering excellence.
How would Izzy tell the story of our adventures over her lifetime? She would probably wonder why we spend so much time designing campers, rather than using them.
There are a lot of fake smiles on Instagram. But my hope is there’s far more authenticity behind the content than we are all willing to share. That these moments aren’t us hiding our hurt, or our journey from the world, but a celebration of the moments that keep our dreams alive.
Our collective story over the last few years is one I think more regularly full of difficult days. The days where we look around and notice the world stripping people of agency in their own lives aren’t days I personally take pictures. If any of us did I hope they’d still show a passion burning underneath it all.
As I’ve built Campworks these same eyes have been equally full of tears. I’ve not celebrated those days. But on days like this sitting with friends and family, I couldn’t have been more full. And I want to share this, because it’s not a veil over my life, it’s the goal, it’s the image I work on building everyday.
The future of life is full of more beautiful days. Lives with the ones we love, the most delicious foods, and spiritual experiences that allow our hearts to match our faces.
We create the lives we live and tomorrow is another day to confront what we see and pour ourselves into the work of being better. We owe it to ourselves and we owe it to each other to share it all. Be it on Instagram or otherwise
A new personal favorite for skiing adventures. This was a day full of great views, amazing people, and real challenges. I think the best moments usually take all three.
Full disclosure, this routes a beast and we didn’t top out this time. So we will have to go back. Very hopeful there’s as much snow the next time!
