Tomaso, also known as Thomas Kick was born in Milan and raised in Brianza. His musical foundation was built on a mix of hip-hop, house, and jazz, a passion fueled during his adolescence by endless hours digging through online forums and CD collections in search of new sounds. In 2022, he founded @vinilos_viajeros in Barcelona, an appointment-only record shop that has quickly become a cornerstone of the city's electronic underground. Beyond the shop, he is the co-founder of @fuorimilano_ and curates a weekly residency every Tuesday at @oblicuohifibar dedicated to immersive ambient and downtempo selections. His extensive record collection allows him to navigate seamlessly between deep, downtempo journeys, peak-time energy, and intimate after-hours sessions. Having contributed acclaimed mixes to platforms like @slow_life_music and @themuddshow Tomaso is currently expanding his reach through collaborations with Lírica Archives and N.ear Space, all while transitioning his shop into a brand-new creative space.

Last appointment of the month @oblicuohifibar sees the Host and founder of Vinilos Viajeros, Thomas Kick, inviting Nicola Cima, alias @mr_fortyfour_ , for an all night long session at the Bar focused on Downtempo. Nicola is a true, passionate deejay and collector with amazing podcasts on his name featured on Cartulis music and, more recently, an outstanding 3 hours and half impressive journey that has just been published on Slow Life music. Starting around 21.30 while doors will be open from 19.00

Dear Viajeros, the last two and a half years in this place have been amazing. I’ve met hundreds of people, and thousands of records have passed through this magical spot: a place with no public address, no signboard, no view from the outside, yet so much to discover within. I’ve been thinking about this for a while now, and I truly feel that after four years of nonstop work, it’s finally time to take some rest from the job itself. A job I still love as much as I did on my very first day, but one that lately has been demanding too much emotion and energy from me. You still have a couple of weeks to visit the shop one last time, whether for a good dig or simply to say goodbye to the place and share a nice chat, as we’ve always done here. I’m not yet sure if there will be a final salute, but I’ll think about it over the next few days. Fortunately, the venue will be left in good hands, as my good friends from @outsidein_distribution will take over the physical space starting mid-February. Last but not least, I want to thank you all for these incredible years. None of this would have been so special without every single human being who visited me after I gave a second life to this amazing spot. Now I need some time for myself, to feel present again, to travel, to dream once more. Because a Viajero without travel, without new life scenarios, is simply just Vinilos ❤️ Sincerely yours, V.V.

With his nostalgic grooves plus a contemporary finesse when it comes to select and play records, Julian's passion lies in uncovering forgotten gems whenever it's in a club or in a more intimate enviroment. Taking some time off during my break on the beach to select, crop, and share a few moments from my set at the @oblicuohifibar x @themuddshow event, which was recorded in June. The event lineup was curated by myself as @vinilos_viajeros , and I truly believe it was a special day I’ll never forget. It was also, in a way, a celebration of three years of Viajeros. Surrounded by a community of people brought together by this project, which started as a game three years ago, and is now my everyday life. For my set, I wanted to take everyone on a journey through music I’ve recently discovered, some classics, and also a couple of records that have been meaningful to me throughout my last years. I aimed to keep it dark and minimal, with futuristic themes about dystopian worlds, space, aliens, and spiritual messages. Last but not least, I want to thank everyone involved in making this event possible, as well as all the friends and supporters. Thank you from the bottom of my heart,it was truly special. <3
