Unbubble is an interactive installation in which a robot analyzes a user’s Instagram activity to reveal their filter bubble. By making invisible algorithmic mechanisms visible, the project questions how our digital traces shape tailored realities and influence our choices. Thomas Gaudin (METAA Award Winner, ECAL) — Keynote and Q&A (EN) Thomas Gaudin @thomas.obj is a digital artist and designer exploring the relationship between humans and technology through interactive and algorithmic systems. His work investigates how digital environments influence perception and behavior. Alumni of the Bachelor Media & Interaction Design at ECAL/University of Art and Design Lausanne, Thomas is based in Switzerland and combines art, code, and critical reflection to question our reliance on technological systems. Since 2020, the @metaa_social Release Candidate Award has recognised prospective and experimental graduation projects from the ECAL Media & Interaction Design @ecal_mid and HEAD Media Design @head_mediadesign programs. Through excessive image processing, saturation, distortion and visual accumulation transform the space into an unstable visual flow, between ruin and digital overproduction.
