Haven't shared this one in a while! A Tolkien Herbal showing many of the plants and trees in the legendarium. Due for a 2026 update with some changes and additions! This is still my most popular illustration and I'm so grateful it has led me to so many Tolkien fans. If you picked up one of these over the years, I would love to hear it! ❤️🙏🏼

🐰 A wonderful sharing tale, which unites a community to solve a problem.
🐭 Rabbit and Mouse both want the same nut and begin to argue. Woodland creatures, big and small, gather to try and problem solve for them.
🌰 Rabbit and Mouse finally agree to share the nut… but before they can do that, a sneaky squirrel makes a run for it with their yummy nut.
🐿️ This would be great to use as a writing stimulus in school. They could explore what happens next, write a diary or write an alternative ending - the options are endless.
🐰 A heart-warming tale which made me awwww. 🥹
It is rich in stunning illustrations which are printed on such high quality paper. An important lesson on kindness, community and sharing. 🐰🌰🐭 ad/gifted
🦔 About Hedgehog: A book about grief for young children by Dani Seatter and illustrated by Anna Stead

🦔 Wow - when this book arrived on my doorstep, I knew it was going to be special. It’s wonderfully published on the best quality paper and is something to be cherished for a lifetime.
🦔 The story starts with a young rabbit asking after his friend hedgehog. Everyone tells them that they have gone, some make awkward conversation and some run off. If you’ve experienced grief, you know it’s a true representation.
🦡 A kindly badger helps to explain that hedgehog has passed away and that it’s good to talk and ask questions. It moved me to tears 🥹
🤍 The book has pages at the back for questions and memories. I will use this book at home and at school, as it’s a beautiful exploration into understanding loss. 🤍🤍🤍Reposting with the video so people can truly appreciate this gorgeous book. 🤍🤍 AD/gifted

Happy Friday! Be sure to avoid any cursed bogs this weekend (autocorrected to "cursed boys" which is also valid)

I've been wanting to share this piece again for a while because I am really proud of it. I wrote my thesis on Arthurian middle English poetry (I have a masters in Medieval Studies) but it's only in recent years that I've been exploring it in my artwork! Sir Gawain and the Green Knight is a big fave of mine. Here we have a stained-glass inspired triptych with Lady Bertilak and her girdle, Gawain with the axe and of course the Green Knight himself. I love working in this flat colour style! ☘️🐸💚
(Thanks for reading, Instagram is a bit of a slog these days, don't you think?)
I've been having so much fun painting these! The new three will be up in my shop at 6pm tonight.
