happy epiphany happy new year happy faultline release day 🌀 usually when i pick a date, i lean overtly pagan. i didn't actually pick this date for the launch of faultline, but i'm reeling from the synchronicity of @sixshooterrecords fatefully landing on the feast of the epiphany as the date this song makes its debut. the word certainly feels apt. the time around christmas and new year will always be incredibly significant to me-beyond its obvious original resonance-because it was at that time, 2 years ago, that i realized i needed to get out of the relationship i was in. january 4th, 2023 was the day i started trying to leave. i wrote faultline in new york just over a month later staying at @leather_locklear 's apartment when i was deep deep into the epiphany and revelation. when i decided i was really and truly going to be free. this is probably the most bare and personal song i've written since i was 15. i'm not beating around the bush here. i was severely fucked with for a long time. maybe you were too. so here's to feasting on epiphany and getting free. day by day, little by little, we're leaving those leeches behind. running into the sea, turning that glass house back into sand. outrageous sigil magick video by love of my life @al_aldous @dannyjer.om plays drums @henrynikelson plays bass @hollycarps plays violin @thefoetals plays slide guitar @al_aldous plays guitar and mixes and co-produces // i sing and do some other little bits and co-produce and write // thank you to these angels & everyone who's made the world a more loving place and welcomed a free, fun-loving gal to their midst. i am grateful for the hearth, wherever she may be xx

reminiscing about that time @al_aldous did a lil duet with freddie the parrot back in toronto at @parrotsanctuarycanada where i used to volunteer 😭 the feeling of being recognized and addressed by a room full of deeply intelligent, silly, playful, strange talking animals is truly the stuff dreams are made of !🧚‍♂️

some final thoughts on the king of pentacles moon quest before we move on to a fresh card on wednesday for the pisces new moon! 🎣 -consider what satisfaction/fulfillment at a truly ripe old old age looks like for you: what surrounds you? can you become a steward of that life now? -figure out how to nourish others and you’ll likely find that you sustain your own darn self and your joy as well (become bread 🍞-bake yourself and leave yourself warm n wafting on the windowsill of your heart ❤️) -imagine how an old tree would describe you: how does it make you feel to be witnessed by something ancient and non-human? 🌳🌳🌳🌳 i very much feel like something i am made of is of a magpie nature… it brings me so much joy to line my nest with small brightnesses and then deliver them to everyone i care about. so i suppose here is a little shiny scrap from the place inside me that is the king of pentacles 🪙 spring is coming spring is coming spring is coming xx

last time on the king of pentacles moon quest, i was talking about james hillman and depression (and i’ve still got more to say about that) but i also wanted to add that we are certainly as much composed of our delights and that a good way to see where those live is to really untangle certain personal preferences especially the ones that leave us fuming or stewing. at the risk of being overly whimsical (i do work with small children after all !), perhaps you could treat the next week as a scavenger hunt of delights while also still not turning away from melancholy. perhaps the melancholy is in fact what sweetens the gaze enough to truly be able to perceive the delights 🐿️ xx . . . #witchcraft #tarot #cursebreaking #tarotreadings #witchesofinstagram
