Walk&Talk temporary pavilion entry by our good friends @score_architecture . Located in Largo de São João in Ponta Delgada, Azores (Portugal), the idea for this image was to show the building as a warm and cozy retreat to spend the night. We played a bit with the atmosphere in order to enhance the contrast between the cold exterior and the warm interior. Back in 2015 TEd'A Arquitectes designed this building for an architectural competition in Genthod, Switzerland. Willing to obtain an energetically efficient building, the project pays homage to the greenhouses. Precisely for climatological reasons, they are a very abundant farming building typology in the area. The greenhouses make use of certain passive strategies that make them real energy machines. Exciting news! 🎉 @mvrdv is one of the three finalists in the International Tender for Architectural Design of Shenzhen Pingshan Sports! Teaming up with Huayi Design, they’ll be finalizing the design in the coming weeks. The Pingshan District is key to Shenzhen’s eastward growth but lacks large-scale cultural and sports complexes. This project aims to fix this imbalance in the Great Bay Area, promoting national fitness and meeting the community's recreational needs. The innovative design draws inspiration from the graceful shapes of badminton rackets and shuttlecocks, embodying the spirit and energy of the sport. The plan features a badminton-themed sports park and a National Badminton Training Center for training and research, seamlessly blending modern architecture with the natural landscape. Tartu Downtown Cultural Centre designed by @build.superworld + Santtu Hyvärinen + Arkkitehtitoimisto SHY + Mohamed Bouzrara. Landscape by @studio.audal . * The 22.000m² complex brings together several local cultural institutions, such as the Tartu Public Library, the Tartu Art Museum, and a concert and event centre. It is located in the Tartu Keskpark, in direct neighborhood to the historic city centre and embankments of the Emajõgi river. The cultural centre is inspired by the human-scale volumes of the historic town centre. The different institutions it gives home to are closely connected to each other visually and physically, to craft  cultural synergy between them.
