It doesn’t feel real when you’re there, either. Film scans (by @notanotherfilmlab ) revealed that my trusty point-and-shoot Olympus Stylus has developed some truly epic light leaks. Bring it on.

When @luckypunkprojects first asked me to direct and shoot visuals for the @baucomdenim rebrand, I knew we needed to show that Kelsey really means it when she says, “Handmade to measure every time.”
Our decision to show that it really is Kelsey doing every step from measuring to making was 100% intentional. I think some brands shy away from showcasing their small but mighty teams because our overly online world tells us to make everything feel larger than it is to be taken seriously or be perceived a certain way. I think that’s a big misstep for a lot of brands because in reality, people love to feel connected to who’s making their stuff. The care and intentionality that Kelsey puts into making every pair of these pants by hand is large in part what makes people feel confident when investing in a pair.
We didn’t have to “create” a brand story for Baucom. We just had to show up and showcase what they’ve been doing all along: making super incredible workwear, made to measure, every time.

Been thinking about the past, been thinking about the future. The way things have always been ain’t the way they’re always gonna be. But we have to remember the times that came before and learn from them.
In Germany, brass cobblestones can be found outside the homes from which Jewish citizens were forcibly removed. These memorials are inscribed with their names, birthdate, date of death, and the camp to which they were “deportiert.”
No one is illegal on stolen land. We will stand up for our neighbors.

Six necks and an arm,
A bonnet and two sports charms,
Two college class rings and a high school pin,
A way to get out and a way to get in,
Two arrow heads,
A tractor and an interior red.
My grandmama and I (and all my cousins) spent a lot of time looking at I Spy books. In November, she and my grandaddy moved into assisted living and our family spent the holidays emptying out their home. I brought back a bunch of little bits and bobs, and decided the best way to showcase them all at once was in our favorite format.
The glass isn’t “beach glass” (mostly) but pieces grandmama picked up over the years from the sandy dirt driveway in front of The Big House.
