Join us at the National Zero Waste Conference for the first concurrent session on Day 2: Rethinking Beverage Containers: From Recycling to Reuse. /2025-schedule-details-day-2/ Single-use beverage containers make up 18% of all U.S. packaging, yet recycling rates remain stagnant at around 24%, prompting states to explore policies like Extended Producer Responsibility and Deposit Return Systems (Bottle Bills) to boost recycling and support a shift to reuse. These are beautiful bins - the covers help signal to only put paper and bottles into the two recycle bins. It’s a way to reduce contamination. Consider bin covers to help you signal what material goes into the bin. #bin #recycle #trashcans

We saw this sign at an event we attended during climate week. Yay for @carbonnewbie for having their event certified by @oceanic.global . Think Zero has helped several companies get their plastic free certification - get in touch if your firm is interested.

Switching to compostable plates, cups, and utensils might seem eco-friendly, but they often end up in landfills anyway. Opt for reusable metal, glass, wood, or ceramic items whenever possible. Let’s rethink single-use items and make choices that truly support a healthier planet. 🌍♻️ #Sustainability #ZeroWaste #EcoFriendly #ChooseReusables
