We’re excited to be returning to the #folkestonebookfestival this year to draw a new illustrated mural, depicting the ideas and perspectives from the authors and audiences. Thanks @creativefstone for inviting us back. Can’t wait to get started again! #creativefolkestone #quarterhouse #folkestone #illustration
We ran a drop-in session at Kollectiv gallery, asking people of all ages to add their ‘Imaginary Folke’ character to a collaborative community board. Great fun! #folkestoneillustrationfestival #artistworkshop #collaboration
Introducing Jess and Ollie of @thinkvisually to the @folkestoneillustrationfestival line up ✏️
Jess and Ollie are a local creative duo who use drawings to help people think & talk in pictures. You may have spotted them drawing at arts and culture gatherings – like the Folkestone Book Festival or bOing! Family Festival in Canterbury – where they create interactive, illustrated murals that capture ideas and audience feedback, live, as the events happen. Jess and Ollie are on an art mission to help everyone see themselves and each other in a bigger picture, to encourage participation and use art to help us all be included.
Their large illustrated mural from last year’s Folkestone Book Festival will be on display in Kollectiv for the festival weekend, and if you stop by the FIF Illustration Fair on Sunday 9th November, you can meet Jess & Ollie there, and contribute to a new mural they will be creating called ‘Imaginary Folke’ – all ages welcome!
