when we found Luna a few years ago she was living on the streets in California, and she didn’t really know anything except “sit.” She was terrified of everything and didn’t even know how to use stairs! We had to build everything from the ground up recall, structure, and just learning how to focus.
Using her food as part of training made the biggest difference, and over time she’s become so confident and engaged. Now she’s off leash on our walks, at the beach, near perfect recall, checks in naturally, and even knows how to open her own crate.

COMMUNITY OVER EVERYTHING 💪🏽🐾
This week CHBF had the opportunity to donate dog food from @thinkjinx and volunteer at the Mary S. Roberts Pet Adoption Center, alongside some of our amazing members (and our favorite dog trainers @wellmannered_bullies 😎🐶).
Every month @msrpac hosts a pack walk where volunteers take the adoptable dogs out for exercise, fresh air, socialization, and a good time outside the shelter environment. Since they’re a no kill shelter focused on finding forever homes, we were honored to be a part of it.
The energy was amazing, the dogs were incredible, and this is something we’ll definitely continue being involved in every month!!
Big thank you to the team at Mary S. Roberts @msrpac for everything they do for these animals and our community, and to @wellmannered_bullies for always coming thru with us💪🏽We’re excited for future partnerships, events, and more ways to give back to the city we’re a part of.
