Easypeasy was born from the idea to create a seating and table system that provides an easy way to offer modularity, colour, playfulness, and sustainability.
Over the past year, we’ve strengthened partnerships with not-for-profits and charities to divert materials and furniture from landfill, giving items a meaningful second life within the community.
More than 1,200 items – including chairs, benches, cupboards, tables, surplus textiles and PET – have been redistributed through organisations where they become resources, learning tools and community assets.
Working with organisations such as Bower, Pyrmont Cares Inc, ReLove, and Reverse Garbage, materials are reused in workshops, redistributed to those in need, or repurposed for creative and educational projects. Additional items have supported UNSW Design Future Labs, TAFE NSW, responsible recycling partners, and community pathways, including small businesses, suppliers and fundraising initiatives.
These collaborations have also led to ongoing partnerships with ReLove and Reverse Garbage, creating reliable pathways for surplus items to be reused, creatively repurposed, or kept out of landfill.
This approach recognises the value already embedded in products and materials. By working with organisations that specialise in reuse and redistribution, we can extend product lifecycles while supporting the communities around us.
This is circularity in practice: practical, human, and built on partnerships.

Thinking Works x DEFY
Each year, around 30,000 tonnes of commercial furniture waste is generated in Australia, with an estimated 95% ending up in landfill. In partnership with DEFY, we’re working to change that. Our rHDPE seat and backrest are made from 95–100% post-consumer and post-industrial plastic waste, giving discarded plastics a new life.
Through our partnership with DEFY, we’re sourcing locally, reducing transport emissions, supporting Australian suppliers, and ensuring our products can be easily returned for refurbishment or recycling through the same supply network - further reducing environmental impact.
Our DEFY seat and backrests are available in 8 different colour ways that use a blend of our seasonal colours on a clear or black base. This offers designers hundreds of possible colour combinations across the Easypeasy range.
