In a quest to obsess over natural fibers. I decided to replace one thing with something better.
I ripped out my polyester lining and reconstructed it with white poplin cotton fabric that I purchased at a recent trip in Beacon, NY - The process involved dying the white fabric in coffee for 16 hours, washing and air drying. The final outcome was a beautiful ivory textured fabric.
I found this beautiful lambs wool over coat in Carrol Gardens last spring. Waiting a year to wear it. And I’m so happy I did!
Special thanks to @sangah_shea and @koyo_babe_ for guiding me!

To explore Brutalist design… it has always been interesting and uncomfortable design style. Why?
Wikipedia: “The popularity of the movement began to decline in the late 1970s, with some associating the style with urban decay and totalitarianism. Brutalism’s popularity in socialist and communist nations owed to traditional styles being associated with bourgeoisie, whereas concrete emphasized equality.”
Design popularity as a trend seems to be interconnected with society.
