I woke up to a watercolor painting that my Japanese godmother just made, it wasn’t part of the plan but she ended up painting me into this piece. 🧡

Played a bassy & breaky set at understory in December, so fun to see people were getting down with me. I was also so stoked to play before @trvr808 , his music selection and skills on the decks are insane, such a pillar to the Maui music scene. I got to fulfill a dream of mine last week, backpacking the Nepali coast. A great crew with last minute preparations and surprises, we still had everything we needed. On our first day in I ran into a someone I know in the Tahoe music scene, and we found a fellow backpacker with a dis-located shoulder, the weather was absolutely dumping on us, but we persevered and the weather was beautiful after that. Drinking and bird bathing myself from all the different streams, & waterfalls was so refreshing. On the 3rd day I went and lost myself in the valley and discovered some treasures, old gardens that were vast and with so much history, and then I found a cave full of boar that ran out toward me😅. Our meal on our last day was absolutely epic, and felt so rewarding, and then we ended our trip by walking a couple more miles to the airport, a first for all of us. Thank you to the crew who brought me in to this wonderful experience, and thank you Kauai for embracing and teaching us.
