National Science and Media Museum - Identities Pt. 3
This installation was all about bringing hundreds of individual photographs together into one flowing story. Set into a bespoke curved wall, each image appears to float, following the line of the space.
Behind the finished surface is a lot of careful engineering. CNC-cut ribs, layered ply and MDF were used to get the curve just right, with a seamless painted finish so the focus stays on the photographs. Each image is mounted on custom steel spigots, adjustable on site, allowing us to fine-tune the positioning until everything sat exactly where it needed to.
From drawings through to fabrication and final install, accuracy was key; millimetres really mattered. The end result feels light and effortless, while carrying a lot of technical thinking beneath the surface.

National Science and Media Museum - Innovation Pt. 2
Zone 1 continues by exploring how innovation expands perspective — and how precision brings it to life. New imaging technologies allowed media makers to move beyond studios and stages, capturing environments once unreachable, from dense jungles to extreme mountain landscapes.
Large-scale photography and immersive installations place visitors inside these breakthroughs, showing how advances in cameras, recording equipment and mobility transformed what could be seen and shared. To support this experience, the gallery build demanded exacting accuracy. Every measurement was critical, ensuring display cases aligned precisely, lightboxes sat seamlessly within architectural thresholds, and integrated audio was positioned for maximum impact.

National Science and Media Museum - Innovation Pt.1
Zone 1 introduces visitors to the spirit of innovation that shaped the development of film, sound and broadcast media. Set within a bold, contemporary environment, the gallery brings together pioneering technologies that have transformed how stories are captured, shared, and experienced.
A vibrant palette of purples, blues and soft pastels creates a clear visual identity for the zone, contrasting with the warm materials and industrial forms of the artefacts. Integrated graphics, archival imagery and short films add context, revealing how these innovations influenced culture and paved the way for modern media.
Zone 1 sets the tone for the gallery as a whole, celebrating curiosity, invention, and the people who reimagined what media could be.

National Science and Media Museum
Last year, one of our largest projects was acting as Principal Contractor for the new Sound and Vision gallery at the National Science and Media Museum in Bradford.
With so many standout features and bespoke setworks throughout the space, we’ll be sharing the project in stages over the next few weeks, spotlighting each zone along the way.
We’re kicking things off with the introduction panel. Using aluminium laser-cut lettering combined with projected AV content, it creates a bold and immersive first impression that sets the tone for the exhibition.

V&A Dundee - Garden Futures Pt.5
The final zone brings the exhibition to a close by looking ahead — exploring how gardens can inspire new ways of living and working together. With bright colours, interactive displays, and large-scale installations, visitors are invited to reflect on what gardens mean today and imagine how they might shape the future.
At the heart of the space, a timber-framed greenhouse structure creates a sense of openness and possibility. It frames a vibrant mix of objects, artworks, and interactive elements, coming together to form a space that is both playful and thought-provoking.
Garden Futures: Designing with Nature runs at V&A Dundee until 25 January 2026 — make sure to catch it before it closes.

V&A Dundee - Garden Futures Pt.4
Zone 4 is bathed in yellow — a colour that can symbolise optimism and hope, sparking creativity and imagination, but also hinting at fragility and the fleeting nature of things.
This space is presented as a testing ground for new ideas, where the garden becomes a place to dream of and work towards a better future. In the face of climate crisis, globalisation and food insecurity, the garden once again emerges as a laboratory — a site of experimentation with sustainability and social justice, and ultimately, a place of hope and possibility.
The bold yellow walls and partitions in this zone were built by our joinery team, their smooth finish and precision creating the clean geometry that frames each display. These strong joinery structures don’t just divide the space — they also serve as canvases for projections, graphic panels, and mounted works, forming the backbone of the exhibition’s immersive storytelling.
