The WMSC is deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Leslie Clarke.
Leslie was a huge part of our club, being our only female program director and also our club director from the late 90’s to the early 2000’s. Her career was also highlighted by positions at @bcalpineski as well as being @alpinecanada ’s first female head coach!
What set Leslie apart was her desire to help the kids get better at skiing and advancing our programs. Always embodying the soul of a teacher, she was always very eager to be on the hill and getting hands-on with ski coaching. Being a Male dominated sport, Leslie broke boundaries for women in our sport, and was a wonderful role model for young girls who dream of ski racing!
We send our most heartfelt condolences to Leslie’s friends and family during this time, and will always hold Leslie in our hearts as we carry on her legacy.

WMSC Athletes @james_a_crawford 🥇 and @_camalexander 🥉 clinched the podium in the @fisalpine #kitzbühel downhill race in Austria! This marks not only Jack’s FIRST WIN in the world cup but also the FIRST TIME in 42 years that two Canadian athletes have finished on podium at Kitz!
