We love it when our wedding couples break traditions. The entrance may seem effortless but a lot of planning went into this well before the wedding day: 1. Does your dress need adjusting if your train is quite large. 2. When the music starts and who cues it? 3. Your pace. Keep it nice and steady. Most couples rush without realising. 4. Where you pause so (a) your photographer can get a clean shot of you on the aisle and (b) guests can take it all in. 5. Letting your guests know when you're entering. We always recommend you have an MC to make these important announcements, or a confident family member. That way guests are ready to receive you. 6. What happens immediately after you walk in? Is there a moment. Do you have to walk around an obstacle, or on grass in heels, do you have heel protectors for that? While she was standing at the altar, this was happening outside. The bride's father, responsible for the wedding car, had left the key at another guest's house. That guest was not at the ceremony. Nobody could reach them. Nobody could get into the house. We had twenty minutes before the couple needed to leave. One of our coordinators flagged down a black cab outside the venue. A white one came past, which was perfect, but it did not stop. We called three car companies. They wouldn't have availability for over an hour, we had 20 minutes before the ceremony would end. So we booked an Uber Lux, confirmed the arrival time and had the car outside with four minutes to spare. She knew something had happened. What she did not know was that by the time she found out, it was already resolved, the car was outside, and there was nothing left for her to do but get in. If she had not had a coordinator, who was solving this? Her dad, who was inside watching her get married? Her mum? Her MOH who was standing next to her at the altar? Check our availability.
