With the increased presence of law enforcement in DC, including federal agencies and National Guard, Black and brown youth face heightened risks of surveillance, criminalization, and police interactions. Check out these videos to learn your rights.
Law enforcement may try to violate your rights, pretend they didn’t hear you or try to intimidate you.
Breathe.
Stay calm.
Repeat your rights over and over again.

Friends and bystanders can help us by safely filming these interactions. Remember we have the right to film. We don’t have the right to interfere.
