yesterday was trans day of visibility, but i’m late to everything so i’m posting today.
it feels like almost every day i wake up to news that there’s another law in my country about trans people.
simply put, these laws want to kill me and my friends.
and it is fucking exhausting to be punished for existing.
we need more visibility, yes. but we also need more protection. we need more action. we need more gender affirming care. we need more of us to exist loudly and long enough to last.
and amidst it all?
i love being trans.
i love being nonbinary.
i love being queer.
so i will keep letting myself become more of myself.
here are some moments i have felt visible, moments i have loved myself, and, importantly, moments with some of the people that make me feel visible and loved among all the rest of it.
we’ll be here forever, whether you like it or not.

By the time you turn 30 you should have:
~a sorcerer for your bard
~a sold out show at an iconic DC music venue
~a goblin kitty that hounds you for treats
~and one hell of a life to keep living
happy three decades ben. you’re so easy to celebrate. <3
brb i have to go contest my citation at village court 🧚♂️
(alt sappy caption: in the world right now, getting to spend an entire day surrounded by love, joy, queerness, creativity, playfulness, friendship, and silly accents felt really amazing and my soul needed it.)
only THREE more shows left for Galatea with @theatreprometheus !! not going to lie, i pretty much just get to play around on stage every night and i couldn’t ask for a better group of actors and creators to do that with. here’s to queer joy and queer love and just overall silly queer vibes. 💘 (and come see us this weekend!!)
