Two years ago i started the Tipi sessions with a simple desire to bring the best live music to the heart of our community in Watlington. And we’re going again. And it’s going to be epic. FRIDAY AUG 21st - MARK MORRISS (THE BLUETONES) Tickets on sale SUN APR 26 at 9am - link in bio! 👆 And for our penultimate tipi session of 2026, we’re extremely excited to have the one and only Mark Morriss come throw it down tipi style. Get your tickets QUICK - it’s going to be an incredible night of original music! “The symbolic of Morriss’ style as a solo performer; a serious love of music and song tempered with jocularity. It makes for a set of easy-going acoustic songs and a camaraderie that brings a warmth to the winter that gathers around us.” – Louder Than War Best known as the lead singer for The Bluetones, and now also having been a solo artist since 2008, Mark Morriss has spent the best part of 3 decades honing his craft as a live performer. During that time he has released 6 albums with The Bluetones, including 14 Top 40 singles, 4 albums as a solo artiste and collaborated with Matt Berry and the Maypoles, Mike Wilton, and The Helicopter Of The Holy Ghost on tours and on record. FRIDAY JULY 24 - POLLY PAULUSMA ON SALE SUN APR 26 at 9am - Link in bio! 👆 So thrilled to finally manage to get Polly in the Tipi - one of those artists who has paved her own path with pure class and will be bringing her gorgeous music to the Tipi this July. Polly Paulusma emerged with her self-produced debut ‘Scissors in My Pocket’ in 2004, earning widespread acclaim for its intelligent folk-pop sound. She has supported legendary artists including Bob Dylan, Jamie Cullum, Marianne Faithfull, and Coldplay, and performed on major stages such as Glastonbury, T in the Park, V Festival, and Cambridge Folk Festival. In 2012, Polly founded label Wild Sound, nurturing a new wave of indie-folk talent. Alongside her music career, she completed a PhD exploring the influence of folk music on author Angela Carter, which inspired her 2021 album Invisible Music. Her most recent album Wildfires, produced by the legendary Ethan Johns (Ryan Adams, Laura Marling, Ray Lamontagne), was released February 2025 to extraordinary critical acclaim. This is going to be epic… Scottish singer - songwriter Blair Davie is one of the UK’s most compelling emerging talents, celebrated for a rare voice that resonates deeply and songwriting that blends intimacy, vulnerability, and emotional honesty. Like Alex Warren, Dermot Kennedy, Tom Odell, and Lewis Capaldi, Blair’s music explores themes of identity, loss, love, and joy, drawing deeply from personal experiences and the stories of others whose voices deserve to be heard. The Tipi Sessions 2026! Without further ado - let’s get these sessions kicked off in TIPI STYLE. FRIDAY MAY 29th - 7:30pm Introducing our very first artist to get things going - the utterly incredible , ANNIE MAJIN. This girl is a supreme TALENT. One of them ones you just know has that ‘thing’. And we are so lucky to have her. Annie Majin is a rising star song stylist of the Great American Songbook and beyond. Known for her whip-smart stage presence and powerful storytelling abilities, Annie will be performing a handpicked selection of refurbished jazz standards, featuring original lyrics and familiar tunes from Broadway’s Golden Age. Backed by a burning rhythm section featuring London’s finest instrumentalists. Expect a vintage sound with quality musicianship. Annie forged her own path in the scene at a young age, singing at venues such as Crazy Coqs, Ladbroke Hall and Green Note. In 2024, she made her theatre debut in Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812 at the Donmar Warehouse, and most recently appeared in Cable Street at the Marylebone Theatre, and consequently its off-broadway transfer in Spring 2026.  Prepare to have your socks well and truly knocked off. Ladies and Gentlefolk - Announcing The Tipi Sessions 2026!! We’re back. For another awesome summer season of incredible live music from truly great artists. 2025 was some line up but 2026 is gearing up to be stellar. We have some unbelievably brilliant artists lined up for your listening pleasure and the Spire & Spoke Tipi will be THE place to be, every month from May - September. We’ve been meaning to do this for a few years….and the stars have finally aligned and its happening! Ladies and Gents…..The Tipi Sessions presents…. THE TIPI SEISIÚN A St Patricks Day Special… TICKETS ON SALE TOMORROW SUNDAY FEB 8 @ 10am - link in bio A proper good old Irish session in the heart of Watlington to celebrate St. Patricks Day and of course, all the Mammy’s….(Happy Mothers Day to them all!) We’re bringing WORLD CLASS Irish musicians to the Tipi for this very special one off event. There will be music, singing, storytelling and craic, Guinness will flow and dancing is encouraged. The soul of Irish music is world renowned and it feels extra special to be hosting this session with the very best musicians coming direct to us from the Emerald Isle amidst a few familiar tipi faces. Of course, myself and Fra and our dear sister Nan will be holding down the fort on keys, guitar and vocals but then we are very excited to share the stage with folk yet to grace us with their skills in the tipi… Trudy O’Donnell on the Irish flute and her brother Cian O’Donnell on bodhrán and guitar - two world class award winning Irish musicians who will quite simply blow your mind, coming all the way to us direct from Letterkenny, County Donegal and the utterly magnificent Jenny Grant on harp all the way from Derry. If you’ve already booked your Mothers Day lunch - this is the PERFECT way to finish off the day and let her loose with some incredible live music. Our very own SmurFit community spread throughout the choir, the band, the volunteers and the crowds — everywhere you looked. Faces beaming with happiness, kindness and love.
