RimoVision Comedy Night #16 returns to the intimate Second Story Theatre in Hermosa Beach with another killer night of stand-up comedy featuring comedians seen at some of the biggest comedy clubs in the country.
Headlining the night is Jay Ko — an LA-based comedian who has performed at The Comedy Store, Laugh Factory, Hollywood Improv, Pasadena Ice House, and venues all across Los Angeles. Jay has opened for comedy heavyweights including Whitney Cummings, Dion Cole, and Dat Phan, bringing high-energy comedy and razor-sharp storytelling to the South Bay.
Featuring:
• Anna Marie Gordon — performer at the New York Comedy Festival, The Comedy Store, Hollywood Improv, and Laugh Factory. Creator and star of the award-winning sketch comedy series “Hot Snacks,” selected by festivals worldwide and winner of multiple comedy awards.
• Rob Smallwood — featured on Comics Unleashed, Kill Tony, Netflix Radio, Jam in the Van, and clubs nationwide including The Stand, Helium Comedy Club, Laugh Factory, and The Comedy Store. Known for sharp, fearless comedy tackling race, dating, and politics.
• Dino — grew up in Bosnia where storytelling is basically survival training. By day he works in physical therapy helping people get back on their feet, and by night he tries to knock them off their feet laughing. His comedy blends immigrant stories, awkward real-life moments, and painfully relatable observations into a style that somehow feels like therapy with punchlines.
• Carol Johnson — veteran comic with performances at Comic Strip Live NYC, Comedy Store La Jolla, Flappers, Comedy Chateau, Mic Drop Comedy, and festivals across the United States. She has shared stages with Mark Normand, Michael Rapaport, Darrell Hammond, Tom Arnold, and Paul Rodriguez. Her acclaimed solo shows continue touring major fringe festivals including Hollywood Fringe and Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Hermosa Beach — we’re doing it again.
After a sold-out comedy night, RimoVision Group is bringing another evening of live stand-up to the Second Story Theatre — with cabaret-style seating, so you’re close enough to see the comedians panic when their jokes land… or don’t.
Headlining the night is Comedy Store regular Nishy Acsell, an Indian-American comedian somehow performing a show called “Honorary Latina!” — which already tells you the night is going to get interesting.
Nishy produces a sold-out monthly show at the Comedy Store in Hollywood, has appeared at the Netflix Is A Joke Festival, and has been featured for Russell Peters.
Joining her is a fantastic lineup of LA comedians:
🎤 Aaron Colbert — a slick, unpredictable comic whose bold style has taken him to comedy clubs and college stages across the country. His sharp wit keeps audiences laughing and guessing what he’ll say next.
🎤 Jay Ko — a high-energy comedian of Black, Korean, and Filipino heritage who has performed at The Comedy Store, Laugh Factory, Hollywood Improv, and the Pasadena Ice House, and opened for major comedians like Whitney Cummings and Dion Cole.
🎤 Sandy Velasco — a UCLA math graduate who decided punchlines were more fun than equations. She has performed across California and internationally at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, bringing hilarious stories about family life, culture, and motherhood.
🎤 Sean O’Connor — a sharp observational comic with East Coast roots who finds the funny in everyday life and delivers it with quick wit and storytelling charm.
Guiding the evening is host Martin Renteria, a Los Angeles-born comedian and RimoVision resident artist who has performed at The Comedy Store, The Kookaburra Lounge, and The Ice House, bringing his laid-back humor and playful energy to keep the night rolling.
It’s an intimate theatre setting, which means the laughs are up close, personal… and impossible to ignore.
