These are strange moments. Allowing someone to photograph you and your home, open-up a bit about your lives, exposing yourself in some way for a few pages that will be read by lots of people you will never meet.
Of course, there is a work angle and naturally I am always looking for ways to talk about and celebrate

However, now the article feels like something more for both of us. We have been bowled over by all the kind comments and messages, (which despite years of therapy are still difficult to receive).
Next week marks four years since we made the move, and the fact the whole project came together because of great friends really landed with us. It feels like a culmination of lots of nice elements coming together. A bit of a moment at the right time…

@fgolfar (who also made the whole story happen), to the genius of
@julian_broad_studio who took the photographs. I have worked with Julian for years and he has made OB look fabulous for many of them…Both are complete delights finding the very best story and pictures in everything. The final article could only include a few of the images from the days spent together so have put some of my other favourites here.
And then at the centre of all this is a weird cranky house in remote North Yorkshire valley that was brought to life for us by the vision of our brilliant (…also possibly weird and cranky .. ) friend
