A little while ago we went down to see a show ‘Artists on Artists ‘ at Pallent House in Sussex [ my most fav gallery] Johnnie Shand Kydd had a show of his work of the brilliant pictures he took of the YBA’s in the early 90’s - i think his pictures capture the beginnings of that period the best . Anyhow standing right in the middle of the room in front of the projected images was a middle aged Man. Bit naughty i thought , blocking the screen . I realised he was being read to by a lady who turned out to be his Wife . Bathed in absorbed in the pictures she was reading descriptions of each image as they passed over him . He was Blind . I asked if i could photograph him and we had a lovely chat and they told me of all the shows they have visited . He loves art . It was all rather magical .

Tom Kristensen [ nine times winner of LeMans] blitzing it in the tin tops and the mega Storm Stacey killing it on the bikes [ never ridden a two stroke before .. won both races ]

Rob posted this recently . This was the first shoot we did together in ‘96 . It was for Vogue Homme - styled by Dave Thomas , shot on a Sunday at Smithfield Meat market just down the road from the studio we were using - Metro Peartree St - my most favourite studio . Rob had not long left Take That , all a bit unsure , solo shoots were a new thing ,but we had a great time and laughed a lot . It marked a collaboration that remains to this day . A kind ,bright and thoughtful man that Rob .

Alice and i went to see Paul - i ‘assisted’ Alice as she took Pauls portrait [ or impeded … / really was no help ] and we rumaged through his off the charts book collection . oh how we love photography books ..♥️
