Words fail to express the magic of yesterday. I am in awe of the vulnerability and openness shown by everyone present, particularly my fellow musicians @momoi_allu@galtevet_ and the incredible @santuariotabularasa themself.
I was blessed with the opportunity to come to Mexico City for this Ritual, and it is one I will never forget. Gracias a todos. Lo agradezco muchĆsimo.

In early July 2025, we convoyed down to Giant Wafer Studios in the heart of rural Wales to record our debut (ishš¤«) EP with @therealg_lo & we had the best time bringing these songs we wrote in our bedrooms to life.

Something is cooking at the Bless Warehouse. Iām teaming up with my long-time collaborator Helen from Albion Nights to host a slow, feel good Sunday brunch.
Ease into Sunday with a beautiful cello interlude from London-based performer, composer, arranger and engineer G-Lo. Then weāll gather around the table for a nourishing brunch before we get creative with a collage and word workshop. Weāre going to tear into the Sunday news headlines and turn them into something more hopeful. Itās time to reclaim imagination as a radical act of hope.

Introducing: The Cabin Mic Collection š¤āØ
Starting strong weāve got the newest addition
SOYUZ - 023 āBOMBLETā - A large diaphragm condenser with richness & warmth. Itās a great vocal mic, but I also love it on acoustic guitar, violin, electric guitar and bass amps. And even as a mono drum OH.
Sennheiser MD441-U (Vintage) - A legendary and unique dynamic mic, with an open, clear sound much closer to that of a condenser. I love this as a vocal mic, on any drums/percussion, and on acoustic guitar.
SONY C80 - Matched Pair - I love my Sonys. They are less transparent, definitely bringing some brightness, but they sound awesome on my upright piano, especially with the felt on. Also great on strings, vocals and as drum overheads.
AKG C414B XLS - A multi-pattern condenser microphone which is transparent and high quality. Great on string instruments, amps and percussion.
SE8 - Matched Pair - Slightly less definition than the Sonys, but still very usable mics. Nice as string spots, as room pair, and on percussion.
SM58 - No explanation needed. Mostly in use when Iām using the cabin as a rehearsal space, but also as additional drum mics.
DPA 4099 - More in use for performing, but can get great sounds on certain string techniques (eg pizzicato on a cello / double bass)

As we approach the end of the year, Iām taking a moment to celebrate my ongoing collaboration with Richard Harvey. Itās been a joy to record and mix his collection of solo piano EPs, which are rooted in medieval and baroque themes.

last week I had the ultimate JOYFUL experience of engineering 16 strings and a keys player, followed by orchestral percussion and brass. a dream come true.
i had a blast, learned a lot, and felt proud of myself ā¦especially when one player thanked me for making the experience āso painlessā (engineers/recordists will know thatās a big compliment š)
