I - Beam Workbench Luis Varela Rico for The Process Studio A study in restraint. Steel, left honest. Form resolved through pressure, not decoration. What began as a functional object within the artist’s own practice, reworked, extended, and pushed into scale. Now sits somewhere between utility and sculpture. The material holds its history: mill markings, tonal variation, the imprint of process. Nothing concealed. Nothing softened beyond necessity. A controlled fluidity introduced through bend and weld. silicon bronze tracing each junction, bringing warmth to an otherwise rigid language. This is not a departure from function. It’s a refinement of it. Materials: I beam steel, Douglas Fir wood, TIG silicon bronze, Patina finish Dimensions: 146” L × 29” H × 23” D Douglas Fir Bench : 60” L Secondary I-Beam Shelf: 47” L Photography 📷 by Alexander Gulbin @alexandergulbin_photography

Nico Roussin Multidisciplinary Artist The Perception of Light and Material Nico Roussin is a multidisciplinary French artist based in Las Vegas whose work navigates black as a living spectrum, not absence, but infinite gradation, depth, and dimension. In his latest series, now at The Process Studio in North Las Vegas (by appointment), Roussin pushes his practice into fully fabricated, three-dimensional paintings. Hand fabricated wooden forms, or bas-reliefs, become the architecture for his canvases, over which he layers gradients of black that shift with light and perspective. Working with utilitarian materials sourced from hardware stores, Roussin builds rich mixed-media surfaces that absorb, reflect, and refract light in subtle ways. Shadows, reflection, and texture transform with every angle, blurring the line between painting and sculpture, surface and object. Beyond the studio, Roussin works on large scale murals across Las Vegas, the U.S., and France. His compositions move effortlessly between meditative, infinite patterns, Bauhaus-inspired abstraction, and the raw energy of French street art and graffiti. Notably, his 2024 untitled mural at Doc Romeo Skate Park reimagines public space with his signature exploration of form, depth, and perception. From intimate studio studies to bold cityscape works, Roussin’s practice is a multidimensional exploration of material, light, and perception where black and color becomes a spectrum, and simplicity transforms into complex visual poetry. Roussin’s work has been commissioned privately throughout the United States, France, and across Europe. In addition to private collections, his murals and public art can be found throughout the city of Las Vegas and across the country. His work is also exhibited in galleries throughout Las Vegas. Speedster Chair Prototype A sculptural design study of motion and industrial form by Luis Varela Rico. Rooted in the studio, the piece begins in CAD and is then realized by hand, crafted from folded sheet steel with a mid-century-inspired stainless steel base. TIG welded seams articulate precision and form, while the cantilevered back creates a sensation of lift and forward momentum, translating design intent into sculptural, functional art. This prototype evolves a design language first expressed in his vessels, now extending into functional furniture. Drawing inspiration from aerospace, automotive curves, vintage cars, mid-mod design, and industrial futurism, each detail reflects a dialogue between engineering, materiality, and sculptural expression. Luis is in the process of creating a limited run of ten chairs, each unique in metal, base, and form, fully sculptural and functional, and available through The Process Studio @theprocesslv . This release initiates a larger steel collection, with more functional design pieces arriving soon. Monochromatic black paintings in styled shots by Nico Roussin @nicoroussin . ARTIST SPOTLIGHT Krystal Ramirez @krystalrmrz We’re pleased to introduce multidisciplinary artist Krystal Ramirez to The Process Studio. Working across photography, painting, sculpture, fiber, and neon, her practice balances architectural form with a deeply human pulse, building each work from the ground up with layered media, stitched text, and vibrant light. Her newest public art installation, The Night We Met, is on view at the Las Vegas Civic Center, a sculptural exploration of the city’s past and present, realized in breeze blocks and neon. At our North Las Vegas showroom, five of her works are currently featured, each demonstrating her experimental, design driven approach and architectural sensibility. Ramirez’s work reimagines space, material, and narrative, and we’re proud to have her as part of our curated collective. Please take a moment to explore her pieces and experience the layered worlds she creates. Krystal, we are honored. . . . . . #krystalramirez #MultidisciplinaryArtist #FineArt #ContemporaryArt #theprocess
