Earth Day, every day! 🌱
We’re excited to share a quick update on @theplotgardenproject — our nonprofit urban garden and food lab in South Oceanside, built to connect people to food, soil, and each other.
Right now, that vision is coming to life:
🌿 South O Alleyway Garden — almost done. What was once cracked concrete is becoming a thriving little oasis.
🌿 Tremont Street Garden — big progress. We’re transforming this stretch into a community lane where our neighbors can harvest fresh, nutrient dense produce for their home-cooked meals.
This work wouldn’t be possible without our volunteers, donors, and @wastemanagement (for the soil!).
Come by, check it out, and be part of what we’re growing. We’re so grateful for all that the Earth gives us — the ability to grow, to nourish, and to feed our friends, family, and community.
Maybe I care way too much but it's earth day, all day every day!
I planted many seeds in my early 20's that have sprouted into the most magical offerings.
I help manage a zero waste plant based restaurant with the coolest bosses @_jmwaite & @davinwaite . I admire them so much for they have trusted me with all their heart. I used to drive on the coast and wish to be part of this vision right when they open.
Here I am now. Wow.
I have built a relationship with the garden and now they are building garden beds on tremont st, where we I'll grow food for all! @theplotgardenproject
I am also co hosting cooking classes & other events that I am so thrilled to be apart of.
So far we have done sourdough and fermentation classes, an inaugural TGPT celebration to fund for our project and we can't forget that magical holiday market we did with all of our friends in December!
This is just the beginning!!🌱

We added our fifth bed last night, with a few more on the way, and we are adding natives along the bases of the beds with help from our friends at @plantspeoplecommunity 🙏 We are extra excited to get growing kicked off so our community can enjoy fresh greens from our garden project 🫛🍅🥦🫘

Chef @davinwaite has been wanting to do this for a while. The top tank waters the bottom, the soil does its thing, and suddenly… a garden is growing.
Proof that with a little creativity (and your hands), you can make something out of anything… and you can grow food anywhere. Even here. @theplotgardenproject 🌱
