Something has changed with in me Something feels quite iconic posting these on the same day that @jamiefuxx was born (4 years ago). I fell back in love with the stage at that point when I realised I could play the guy I always want to with Jamie. And he led me to musical theatre and to this, playing a trans masc Alphaba at the @theclaphamgrand Singing all of the songs usually sung in my bedroom and never thought id have the chance to sing on a Stage. What An absolute dream It feels unreal that what was once just a random thought between @tabbytslur and i after seeing the film, became an actual thing and it was magical. Thanks to everyone who helped make it possible! 📸 @jdwmk (1,2) 📸 @chloemichellephoto (3)

Next up - meet Sé Carr, aka Jamie Fuxx! Sé Carr is an actor, singer, and drag artist from Northern Ireland. After moving to London, they found their place in musical theatre and cabaret. Sé has performed in award-winning productions across the UK and Ireland, including ""Oliver Cromwell Is Really Very Sorry,"" which won Best Ensemble @dublinfringefest . They originated the role of Mickey in ""Acid’s Reign,"" where their performances were praised for delivering ""soaring vocals,"" as noted by @thestageuk . Sé is excited to return to the show after starring in its first iteration at the VAULT Festival in 2023. When the lights go down, Sé’s alter ego, @jamiefuxx (drag king), captivates audiences across the UK. Sé is also the founder and host of @magicdykelive , a drag king cabaret designed to give you permission to embrace your inner straight girl, cosplay as a hen do, and escape the pressures of life for a whole night of steamy, sensual fun! Magic Dyke has been held at iconic venues including @theclaphamgrand , @underbellyboulevard , and @thepleasance . 📷: Rich Lakos

WHITE WALLS 👁️👁️👁️ Watch via link in bio! WHITE WALLS brings together over 20 predominantly Black & Brown, neurodivergent creatives for this evocative exploration of what it means to be mentally ill, Mad and/or neurodivergent bearing the brunt of oppressive institutions, norms and powers; all whom seek to silence, pathologise and deprive us of agency. Its genesis was @Aiyana.Goodfellow in depthful research and dialogue, stewarded by questions such as: How can we root storytelling in the ancestral, communal, and collective? In the context of ‘monstrosity’ being projected onto us, how can we (re-)identify society as a site of horror? Accessible via our website, the resulting project pulls us into this subversion of the lens, as well as the journey to define and craft the vision for this confronting narrative. As marginalised people experiencing activation and trauma, our bodies deserve to tremble, scream or show alarm to support us to metabolise these experiences. In the context of a world that seeks to suppress our expression, the horror genre offers us a way in. [Video description: A trailer featuring different clips of the WHITE WALLS film, where the characters are in a white room. Tobi (a Black person with long braids) can be seen trembling and ‘The Professional’ (a Black person with short curly hair) can be seen smirking.]
