When #VictoriaPedretti is on your screen, just know she's there for a reason.â
â
"This bitch doesn't want to do anything she has to do," the 31-year-old actress quips to The Hollywood Reporter, as she's solely focused on projects that have an impact on people.â
â
Over the last decade, Pedretti has cemented her status as a modern-day "scream queen" with her intense performances in Mike Flanagan's #TheHaunting horror anthology series and later the hit Netflix series #You, starring opposite #PennBadgley.â
â
Now sheâs delivering for audiences again in the comedy horror @forbiddenfruitsfilm , directed by Meredith Alloway. Read more at the link in bio.
In her breakout role as Nell Crain, Victoria Pedretti became the undisputed heart of âThe Haunting of Hill House,â anchoring the show with a spellbinding performance that christened her as a scream queen.
But in Pedrettiâs new #ForbiddenFruits, a horror-comedy directed by Meredith Alloway and produced by âJenniferâs Bodyâ screenwriter Diablo Cody, the actor shines in all-new soapy splendor.
Set in a Dallas shopping mall, âForbidden Fruitsâ revolves around an elite clique of retail employees who run a witchesâ coven out of the basement of their boho boutique.
âI was enjoying being in this character so much, I just wouldnât stop,â @then0t0ri0usvip told The Timesâ @maljanem about playing Cherry.

đˇ @evelynfreja / For The Times
âWhen we move throughout the world as women, weâre often so categorized before weâre even allowed to be people, and within that process, weâre objectified,â Victoria Pedretti (@then0t0ri0usvip ) tells us. The actress knows a thing or two about playing an emotionally bruised character, thanks to her roles as Love Quinn in Netflixâs You and Nell Crain in The Haunting of Hill House. In #ForbiddenFruits, Pedretti brings the character of Cherry to lifeâa bubbly, sensual, risk-taking blonde who holds on to trauma that deeply unravels her. While the cowboy hats and pink paillette Daisy Dukes she wears in the film might make you think Cherry is another ditzy, hypersexualized female archetype, in reality, sheâs a layered, complex example of what it means to be a woman today.

From Eve in the Garden of Eden to the cast of @forbiddenfruitsfilm in a suburban Texas mall, the temptation has always been the same: pit the women against each other.
Directed by Meredith Alloway, the upcoming indie horror-dramedy starring @lilireinhart , @lola.tung , Victoria Pedretti (@then0t0ri0usvip ), and @alexandrashipppp has all the makings of a Jenniferâs BodyâmeetsâMean Girls cult classicâcampy outfits, gallons of syrupy fake blood, and the complicated nature of female dynamics.
While the film follows a cult of witchy retail employees on the verge of a quiet mental breakdown, itâs not really about witchcraft or the occult. Itâs about what happens when female power gets warped by misogyny.
