What the critics have been saying about Italian American Reconciliation by @johnp.shanley …
We play only two more weekends starting tomorrow, closing 10/26. Tix at link in bio!
It’s been a wild and deepening ride working with these GREATS (across the board). I’ve never experienced so much freedom in the process as an actor before, and it has truly filled my creative heart to the brim!
Dierdre Donovan of Off Off Online aptly described the magic of Austin Pendleton’s brilliant directorial process:
“Under Pendleton’s direction, Shanley’s 1988 play achieves a vivid emotional texture that feels both spontaneous and deeply considered. A veteran of the American stage, Pendleton is renowned for drawing out truth through inquiry—posing questions that lead actors to discover rather than declare their characters’ inner lives. That sensibility is palpable here: the performances feel lived-in, alert to the contradictions in Shanley’s writing, where tenderness and volatility coexist.
Pendleton’s collaborative touch also shapes the production’s tone and pacing. He works with designers and actors to build an environment that supports risk and invention, allowing the humor to emerge organically rather than as shtick. The result is a revival that feels less like a nostalgic return and more like a renewed conversation—with Shanley’s text, with the actors, and with the audience in the room, invited to rediscover love’s messy, necessary reconciliations.”
What a sincere privilege and joy to be a part of this. Don’t miss it!

Teaching voice, acting and performance techniques is a great privilege. My goal is to be of service to my students in the highest way possible. To create a safe space in which they can relax into the joy and pleasure of singing, embracing technique and alignment in a playful, wholistic way.
Everyone can sing. Our bodies know how to do this. And singing is genuinely good for us!
Side effects include:
✨a deeper sense of presence and relaxation
✨nervous system regulation
✨boosted sense of confidence and personal freedom
✨more grounding in the body and oxygen to its systems
✨joy! 😜🙃🙌🏻💃🏻 I teach all ages and levels, in person and virtually (on a platform created for music lessons- works better than zoom). I offer *free* 20 minute zoom consultations for anyone interested in taking or gifting voice lessons. Link in bio.
A little about me and what I bring to each session:
✨25+ years of consistent one on one vocal training, including a BFA in Musical Theatre from @ccm_musicaltheatre
✨6 years of private voice teaching and seeing major growth in every student who takes consistently
✨career as a professional singer of many genres (including Broadway, symphony soloist, gospel worship leader, jazz clubs, wedding singing and session singing)
✨experience hosting art shares for @broadwayforartsed , honoring the courageous vulnerability it takes to share creative work
✨being a trained volunteer holding space for deep emotional journeying and sharing at virtual meditation retreats
✨my own breathwork, meditation, and yoga practice
✨overcoming mental health struggles especially as they affect my creative and performing life using various tools from The Artists Way @juliacameronlive
I feel grateful for the challenges I’ve faced as a singer, actor, artist and human because they allow me to be of service to my students in special and intuitive ways, whether they pursue singing as a career, just for fun, or anything in between.
Feel free to DM for any questions.

37 🎂! Part of celebrating my birthday this year was reflecting on the year and making a year-in-review Joy Album, a practice I learned from my incredible friend and energy teacher @krisgrove . There were tons of challenges, tough moments, and lessons, but this reel is just to savor and cherish all the joys, big and small. And no surprise, the greatest joys come from tapping into that sense of play right here right now, no matter where I am, and sharing time with the special peeps that I adore. I also feel so grateful for the opportunities I’ve had to make art and do what I feel I am here to do! Thank you universe, thank you God! #happybirthdaytome
A belated Full Monty appreciation post. I couldn’t have even imagined how much doing this show at @the_gateway would fill my cup. It was an absolute dream of a cast, crew, team. This show completely stole my heart. Totally in love with Georgie and I do hope it’s not my last time playing her. I am so grateful for the many many laughs, tears, creative satisfaction, heart opening, and good clean fun I had doing this show with these AMAZING people!

When we say we have the best vocalist in the biz. Boy do we mean it. They don’t just support the sound, they are the sound.
Each voice you hear carries its own story, its own power, its own artistry. Soloists that are bold, dynamic, undeniable. And yet, there’s a different kind of magic they’ve mastered: the art of becoming one.
Precision. Intuition. Restraint. Expansion.
It’s knowing exactly when to soar and when to melt into one.
One stage. Many artists. One multidimensional voice.

Happy 5th birthday to the album release of MISSYFIT Presents Bea and the Bees Singing Songs About Rain. (Streaming everywhere)
Bea, Betty and Bubbles were born in the Stanley Steemer Variations, and deserve their own little universe. But the major silver lining of the pandemic was lots more time to make stuff with @roger.klug spanning across all of the universes that live rent-free in our two person musical hive mind.

Y’all. I could fill a whole other 14 slide feed post with the epic photos and videos from this magical night. (And probably will) But for now, I’ll just say that the insanely talented crew at @the_gateway throws incredible drag shows and it gave me nudge I needed to birth the drag king inside me that’s been waiting to be unleashed haha. ⭐️Colton Jaxx ⭐️ he’s coming for your girlfriends, fellas. 😈
Deeply grateful for @heeyitsfranco for also jumping off the drag debut ledge with me!! (And destroying it might I add) Probably wouldn’t have done it if I didn’t have an accountabili-buddy to do it with.

MIA GENTILE* returns to The Gateway for THE FULL MONTY as Georgie Bukatinsky.
Mia Gentile was last seen at The Gateway as Mia in Forbidden Broadway.
Directed and choreographed by Keith Andrews, associate direction and choreography by Kelly MacMillan, intimacy direction by Ashley Klinger, music directed by Michael McAssey, and associate music direction by Hosun Moon.
In post-industrial Buffalo, six laid-off steelworkers hatch a desperate plan: if they can’t find work, they’ll stage a strip show. What starts as a quick-cash scheme becomes a funny, heartfelt journey toward self-respect, stronger friendships, and renewed purpose. Based on the cult-hit film and a ten-time Tony Award nominee, The Full Monty blends sharp humor, genuine warmth, and an unforgettable score, building to a bold, crowd-pleasing finale. As the men step into the spotlight, they discover that “baring it all” means more than just taking off their clothes.
This big-hearted musical comedy about second chances and surprising everyone — including yourself, is on stage at The Gateway Playhouse in Bellport, NY, from March 13, 2026, to April 12, 2026.
