Much love to the team that made it all happen, all the other bands that played with us @ugb_band @we_are_thb @wilted.adl @loaderlaneband and @showandtell_band , and of course everyone who managed to make it out to either gig this weekend ❤️❤️ It has been a fantastic weekend of gigs from up north to down south for us to play for you all, and even crazier to leave it with the crown and the grand prize of recording a NEW SINGLE??? Get ready… Coming out of this weekend we are also proud to announce our new bassist Harry!! @hhrry_hking is very new to the scene but has already been such a welcome addition to our shows. 🗑️🎥 Sooo we did a thing…….. 🎥🗑️ A couple weeks ago we got invited by @44_adelaide to be a part of 10x10!! 10 bands, 10 filmmakers, 10 days, 1 music video. Because of this, we are more than proud to announce our latest project: Bin Day: The Music Video After an incredible two days of filming with Puppet Productions, they have put together a video that brings one of our favourite songs to life in such an incredible way. 🥂 2 YEARS of The Empty Heads… 🥂 THATS RIGHT. February 1st 2024 marked the very first gig we played at Hotel Metro with a couple swag dudes. Last year to celebrate we put on HEADSTOCK, our biggest show to date, and while unfortunately we weren’t able to make it happen this year, we’ve still got some cool gigs to kick off a banger year! As a last minute fill in, we are THRILLED to jump on the lineup with @we_are_thb and @dropsink.adl to bring you our Gov debut!! On the 30th, we are perusing on down to @lovethegov for a classic night of fun, music and more!! Super excited to be playing with these two again, and very excited to see all you people there! Then we are BACK at it again the following afternoon down south at Hallett Cove for @marionycc and @cityofmarion CONCERT AT THE COVE!! A fun as free gig in the afternoon filled with fun games and incredible music acts, including the ever so legendary Peter Combe. All happening at an incredible outdoor festival right near the beach There’s something for everyone next weekend, so make sure to tag along to one of the shows! After these two shows, we’re headed back into the studios to record our NEXT SINGLE (no spoilers yet ‼️ but get KEEN 👀). @thememptyheads are a punk/alt rock quartet writing music about the small inconveniences of life to the bigger picture, using their voice and their music to speak out in an uncertain time while also just trying to take life that little bit less seriously. “To us, we find that any and all shows we play and content we produce offer a platform that can be used for so many different things, and we are incredibly proud to be able to use it to stand up for Palestine and spread the word on this genocide. It’s important for artists to recognise that platform and use it for good, and not to avoid it because it’s “controversial.” Disagreeing with genocide should never be a controversial opinion in the first place, and the more artists and bands normalise speaking out about it, the more little by little we can put an end to this.”
