Featherston (floodplain) brings together ecological co-design thinking and point-cloud image making to speculate on the future of spatial planning policy. Renowned Australian architectural masterpiece – Featherston House (Robin Boyd, 1967) - serves as a case study for observing the prolific collision of post-colonial heritage values, the climate emergency and Australia’s need for First Nations land and water justice.

Very happy to announce Themeda Studio will be part of ‘Overlay’ for Melbourne Design Week in May, 2024. We will be amongst other amazing designers in architecture, interiors and object making.
Themeda is using the landscape surrounding Robin Boyd’s Featherstone House on the Darebin Creek as a case study for exploring climate-adaptive design and planning opportunities in the local catchment. In many ways, the project is seeking to present a creative exploration of our current heritage and planning laws.
