The Juggler is one of my favourite pieces. I wanted to create a calm magical focus - the flowing piano lines represent the cascading objects and the trombone theme conveys the jugglers upward gaze. I also loved the idea of the audience being gently drawn to the jugglers calm focus in an almost meditative way. Listening back to the finished piece, I feel a strong connection to a childhood memory of being a small boy holding my Dad’s hand and walking…
