It’s a wonderful feeling to see Infra continue its journey around the world, with tomorrow through to Sunday marking its premiere in Korea for the first time. Created in collaboration with Wayne McGregor and first premiered at the Royal Opera House in 2008 - It means so much to see these ideas continue to evolve and find new life with audiences in different places and cultures.
A month on from Possible Futures at Southbank Centre’s 75th anniversary, it still feels present. The evening brought together crisis, human connection and renewal in a way that has stayed with us since.
It felt very special to return to these works - we are looking forward to what comes next with them...

Last week we shared Possible Futures as part of Southbank Centre’s 75th anniversary, exploring crisis, human connection and renewal. It was a very special evening, and a joy to perform some of these works again after a long time - along with the brilliant premiere of Cassie Kinoshi’s beneath a heavy sky.
We are delighted to share Possible Futures this evening, part of Southbank Centre’s 75th anniversary. Exploring crisis, human connection and renewal, the programme offers an optimistic vision even in dark times.
For over 20 years, we have collaborated on projects such as SLEEP and VOICES, exploring how music and art can connect people, spark reflection and inspire change. Studio Richter Mahr grew from this shared vision, providing a creative home as well as free space for emerging artists through residencies and partnerships that support the wider community.
We are especially excited to present the premiere of Cassie Kinoshi’s beneath a heavy sky, commissioned by Studio Richter Mahr in collaboration with Southbank Centre. Developed during her residency, the piece reflects a shared human experience, drawing on nature, memory and hope.
The programme also features a performance by Carolina Cury, who worked on our recent rendition of Free & Equal, a charity record that emerged from the residency programme and reflects our belief in creativity beyond commercial imperatives.
Other highlights include VOICES, November, Infra 5 and music from MaddAddam, forming a journey through memory, reflection and our shared humanity.

JOY: A short film
We invite you to celebrate our Spring Summer 26 collection with a short film, “Joy”, starring composer and pianist Max Richter and Association Orchestre à l’École, the same orchestra that performed at our Spring Summer 26 show.
Inspired by the collection and show theme: a chaotic opera, Max Richter composed an original score for the campaign titled “Joy”, which he performs in this film at the harpsichord alongside the 43 young musicians.
