Myung Urso, born and raised in South Korea and currently
residing in the USA, is an artist whose work is deeply rooted
in her Korean heritage and personal experiences. Growing up
in Okcheon, a countryside town surrounded by picturesque
mountains and rice fields, Myung’s artistic temperament was
shaped by the natural world that was always close to her. This
connection to nature, along with memories of her late mother’s skilled hands and daily household activities, serves as an influence on her art.
For years, children and adults alike have been vicariously transported to experiences of a certain tribe, race and culture by the diversity of the existing art forms. We have been whisked away to the harsh and exciting realities of the lives and memory of the past and present people.

Yesterday was a spectacular time with this wonderful event at the Windsor gallery, where we had the opportunity of listening and interacting with this wonderful women as they discussed the issues surrounding women in the art space. We at The Huts Magazine want to express our appreciation for such an immense experience.
