Yesterday, the Innovation Incubator and Community Innovation Hub team came together for a retreat focused on reviewing strategic goals, creating team goals and exploring new ways to collaborate to further our impact both on campus and throughout the Pomona community while increasing opportunities and impact for students. 🌱✨ From thoughtful discussions around innovation, community engagement and future initiatives to strengthening connections as a team, the day was centered on building momentum for what’s ahead and identifying ways to better support student success through experiential learning, workforce development and community-centered programming. The team also had the opportunity to attend the Pomona Day Luncheon at the LA County Fair, where we heard from @mayorsandoval about exciting updates and developments happening throughout the City of Pomona. The Community Innovation Hub invites local professionals, entrepreneurs, educators, and community leaders to attend an Advisory Board Mixer and learn how to partner with the Hub. Join us on Wednesday, March 18 or Wednesday, April 22 from 5:00–7:00 PM at the Community Innovation Hub, 101 W Mission Blvd., Suite 111, Pomona. This mixer is an opportunity to connect with fellow community leaders and learn how the Hub is supporting entrepreneurship, workforce development, and community innovation in Downtown Pomona. Attendees will also learn ways to get involved, including: • Joining the Advisory Board • Serving on a committee • Hosting workshops or programs • Partnering on community and workforce initiatives Light refreshments will be provided.
