🌿 Rooted in Resilience brought together art, nature, and community at the Community Innovation Hub just in time for Mother’s Day.
A special thank you to Lidia Gutierrez, president of the @arthistorycollectivecpp at Cal Poly Pomona, for sharing insights on the symbolism of plants and color in art and how creativity can support healing, growth, and resilience.
And a HUGE thank you to @hopeesperanzapantry for leading the plant potting and bouquet arrangement activities and bringing such warmth, care, and positive energy to the space! 💐🪴 Your support helped create a beautiful experience where community members could connect, reflect, and create together.
Everyone left with handmade arrangements and memories from an evening filled with creativity, resilience, and community. ✨

Currently, the Getty Villa is hosting two incredible special exhibitions on ancient Egypt 🇪🇬✨
One features stunning sculpted stone portraits of important figures from 1000–500 BCE. The other explores the Book of the Dead, showcasing beautifully preserved papyri filled with rituals, poems, illustrations, and writings meant to guide Egyptians into the afterlife.
10/10 recommend visiting 🌞 Museums are always time well spent!
Spent our Saturday with our fellow @cppanthropologyclub in a field visit to the @bowersmuseum where they so wonderfully accommodated us to TWO wonderful tours filled with a deeper understanding of humanity, culture and how impactful art can be! Our hearts and minds are fulfilled with every visit.
