The Herbal Pixies ventured out on an inspiring field trip to taste wild foods with the one and only @pascalbaudar - master forager and purveyor of wild flavors 🌿✨
These practices profoundly shape our menu curation and recipe development for events… grounding our craft in the sensory magic of the land itself.
We met a handful of beloved botanical allies - many of which Sophia has long worked with in medicinal preparations through the apothecary @avraveda .
We tasted and explored California sagebrush, oxalis, California mugwort, and the delightfully bitter (and deeply medicinal) horehound.
We tried some new ingredients as well… juniper berries crystallized into a sweetener… and lerp sugar!!! 🐜 (look it up… 😆)
And just as we savored Pascal’s mugwort beer, we stumbled upon a vibrant stand of thick-leaved Yerba Santa - a plant we have recently truly come to adore for her Phoenix like qualities.

12/13 @corkaroli // the album release party of the transient and atmospheric, completely magical Cor Karoli. we will be pouring nourishing n/a cocktails to both delight and inspire the senses.

meet mugwort 🌿✨ one of our favorite bitter, dream-inducing herbs to utilize in our medicine cabinets & also our elixirs.
we have loved working with california mugwort as well (Artemisia douglasiana) - primarily because her leaves are massive, and quite pungent as she grows along the coast.
she pairs with damiana in our Earth Bender elixir - one of our core recipes. 🌿
