happy new year! 🤍🎊
at halo we’re dedicated to having our most productive year yet which is why we’ve opened the year by taking part in a community organising training session facilitated by the lovely @pascalerobinson at @advocacyacademy . this session was all about how we can drive maximum impact as a campaign through the strength of community organising which we’re looking forward to doing a lot more of in the future ➡️
we hope that the skills learned and discussions had last weekend will help strengthen our ongoing accountability process which is seeing us have our very first schools listening session at the end of the month!
pls see our previous post for more details and we’re looking forward to seeing you all there! 🫂

Happy 5 years of The Halo Collective! ✋🏾🎂
Who would’ve thought that these little faces would start a nationwide movement?
We’re so proud of what we’ve achieved and want to thank you all for supporting us in our journey of eliminating hair discrimination over the last 5 years 🤎
To commemorate our 5th year we have a huge announcement coming up end of this week so keep your eyes peeled…..

Hi everyone!
Although the year is winding down our work hasn’t stoped! Recently we’ve been busy presenting workshops on all things hair discrimination and Halo for our lovely adoptees like @libertyhq , and speaking on the “A Celebration of Hair” panel with @ivywildacademy hosted at @rbkclibraries sharing the story behind the Halo Code and discussing hair politics!
This represents just a fragment of the work we’re doing to educate people and challenge stigmas around afro textured hair.
Loads more to come before the end of the year so watch out! 🤎
