SOAS Gallery x The Graphical Tree
When the work at London’s SOAS Gallery’s In-/Visible Spectrums: Contemporary Video Art from the Sinosphere show is so great, we really needed to be mindful of our signage and graphics so as not to distract from the content. Our printed pieces and cut vinyl decals work in tandem with the exhibition to complement and inform rather than take over the space.
This landmark survey exhibition, on until 20 June, showcases contemporary video artworks by 11 artists and features artworks that are lyrical, poetic and conceptually abstract while also referring to everyday life and experiences from within the Sinosphere. The Sinosphere is a cultural-linguistic domain traversing the borders of mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and related diasporic communities. The show encompasses and reflects a diverse range of interrelated identities that intersect with many differing localised sociopolitical and economic conditions.
Simple dual-language signage working with the show’s striking colour palette focuses the viewer on the videos, whilst doing its job as a descriptor. At the same time, the printed self-adhesive posters hint at the nature of the work and realities experienced by the artists.

Exciting times ahoy!
We’re adding another production unit to The Graphical Tree.
This giant space will house new top-of-the-range direct-to-media kit; new high-quality, fast turnaround roll-to-roll printers, state-of-the-art cutters, and loads of additional floor space to work from. It’s housed a stone’s throw from our current units and will complement the large-format print and display set-up we already offer.

@neverfullydressed have negotiated a reasonably shallow space by filling it with visually engaging elements to create depth and impact.
We’ve made full use of our large format production services by implementing different print processes to different layers of the space – printed stretch fabric, vinyl decal messaging, cut-to-shape stickers, lino floor graphics – all supporting the video content, and making an engaging display for the brand in the heavy footfall windows of John Lewis, Oxford Street.

@neverfullydressed x John Lewis
We’ve been working at John Lewis’ flagship London, Oxford Street store with the ‘feel good female-founded community’ fashion brand Never Fully Dressed.
This front-of-centre space was clad with black-backed stretch canvas wrapped frames. We added a lino floor to create a seamless pattern, wrapped the TV bases in vinyl, and produced printed cut-to-shape window stickers. The graphics were compiled together and installed to support the colourful, model-focused and public-engaging video screens.
Whereas some shops now just have floor-to-ceiling video walls, this is a great example of traditional graphics and video screens working in harmony - all enhancing the different aspects of the window display on multiple levels.

Cherry nice!
We have a lovely, colourful, multi-layered window produced for drinks brand @drinklivingthings installed in @wholefoodsuk Kensington this week.
It includes printed removable grey-back vinyl border and stickers, matt white cut decal lettering, and the cherry on the cake (actually it’s above the can) are the hand hung from the ceiling grid, serrated circle flavour messaging, and red bottom board, all printed double-sided to 3mm foamex.

Vitra x Verner Panton
@thegraphicaltree are helping @vitra celebrate 100th anniversary of the birth of legendary Danish architect and designer @vernerpantonofficial with a series of printed graphics and boards.
Vitra and the Vitra Design Museum are planning a year-long programme of events and initiatives in collaboration with Verner Panton Design AG. Highlights include exhibitions, the launch of products in new fabrics and leathers, several limited editions, and the reissue of one of his most playful designs.
