One week left to apply! The all-new Genesis House x The Gotham Shorts Fellowship closes Thursday, May 21.
Three narrative short films produced in the NYC region in the final stages of production or distribution will be selected to each receive a $10,000 finishing grant, specialized mentorship, two intimate dinners with industry leaders at Genesis House in the Meatpacking District, and a screening for select industry professionals during Gotham Week.
This fellowship is looking for work that is audacious and progressive — films that are courageous, innovative, and unafraid to take the road less traveled.

The Gotham Film & Media Institute announced today that acclaimed actress Claire Danes will receive the Performer Tribute for her extraordinary career of remarkable performances – including her starring role in Netflix’s The Beast in Me – at the Third Annual Gotham Television Awards, taking place live and in person on Monday, June 1st at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City.
Three-time Primetime Emmy Award winner and four-time Golden Globe Award winner Claire Danes has been one of the most compelling performers in American film and television since her teens. She first gained widespread recognition starring in the acclaimed 1994 teen drama series My So-Called Life, and has since starred in HBO’s Temple Grandin, Showtime’s landmark drama Homeland, Apple TV+’s The Essex Serpent, FX on Hulu’s Fleishman Is in Trouble, and Netflix’s hit series The Beast in Me.
