🚨PSA: LEVELS TO THIS GAME🚨 I’ve never been one to talk much, but my name’s been thrown around a lot recently, so let’s talk. I’m at a point in my career where I’m building my name & brand, chasing a certain standard to prove I’m the best in the world. I’ve proven my skill, winning Pans, Worlds, and two historic UFC BJJ bouts. I’ve proven my professionalism, always showing up my best, never missing weight, etc. Now I’m chasing the people who’ve already accomplished the biggest feats in Jiu-Jitsu. Lots of people with no important titles at the black belt level have been calling me out. If we look at my career, I’ve never been one to seek shortcuts and reap the rewards of someone else’s hard work. Strictly kept my head down and stayed humble until I earned my spot at the top. So my message: keep climbing, work hard, and hopefully we can meet at the top. Holding onto colored belt history or fighting new guys with no important titles isn’t going to help my brand, but you’re welcome for the inspiration….There are levels to this game.👊🏽💯 With that said, top 125ers let’s talk! 2025 IBJJF Black Belt Roosterweight World Champion🥇🌎 ⁃ First Filipino-American World Champion. ⁃ Youngest Roosterweight World Champion. ⁃ Full-time College Student/Athlete. ⁃ History made once again. THE FUTURE IS NOW. 💯🇵🇭 19 years old and I accomplished my dream and the biggest feat in Gi Jiu-Jitsu. 17 years of mat time, hard work, discipline, and work ethic all for this. So hard to put these emotions into words, it really is just such a surreal feeling. My whole life has been dedicated to this moment and I’m just grateful for all the ups, all the downs, and everything in between. Every win, every loss, every tear, every drop of blood & sweat built up to this and shaped who I was on those mats. To be, not only the athlete, but the person I am today is truly a dream come true. 4 fights this weekend, 2 submissions and 2 wins by points. Had the opportunity to once again test myself against the best in the world on day 2 against Thalison and Bebeto. Got to display my level and put on a show in the pyramid. Lots of confirmation from these fights that I’ve been doing the right things in the lab and my game is evolving. Lots of thank you posts to come but I’ll start with these.
