Please help 🆘 We want your plastic bottle lids! 📣
Plastic lids usually end up in the recycling bin, but local artist Sean Rodrigo has found a way they can be reused them locally - and who doesn’t love the circular economy!
Sean Rodrigo AKA
@thefixatorium is a local creator, you may know him for the mini food banks around E17, and he’s looking for old plastic bottle lids or caps to reuse in his 3D printer.
So when Sean approached us asking us to save our old plastic bottle lids, we were only too happy to help.
He will wash them, shred them, then injection mould or extrude them into new items such as combs, lamps, fruit bowls, earrings, key rings or coasters - as part of community projects in East London.
The type of plastic is known as HDPE and is most commonly found on plastic bottles of milk and bottles of fizzy drinks.
♻️ ➡️ If you want to drop off any clean/washed plastic bottle lids to Today Bread in E5 or E17 our team will happily keep them safe and pass on to Sean.

Please give
@thefixatorium a follow and DM Sean if you have any questions about the project. He’s a very nice chatty artist that will love to tell you more!
Merci,
Alex
