Today we officially launched our ‘Petal Planter’ self watering, 3d printed greenhouse in a phone box project after almost 4 years in the works!!!! We were joined by @pl84u_alsuffa food bank our beneficiaries and local @lbwalthamforest counselors who together cut the ribbon!! A huge thanks has to go to everyone at the council and supporters of the project including but not limited to @grace.williams.76 @morrisgallery @3dqf_uk @lloydparkcc @sakurastarmy @laaatow “This partnership is a beautiful example of how creativity and community can come together to make a real difference. Fresh herbs and edible flowers may seem small, but they bring flavour, variety, and a sense of hope to many who are struggling.” — Saira Begum Mir BEM, BCAc, PL84U Al-Suffa Food Bank “This is an experiment, a prototype for how we might reclaim overlooked urban spaces and turn them into something beautiful, useful, and socially impactful.” — Sean Rodrigo, Artist at The Fixatorium Find it just outside the William Morris Gallery in e17 london!! #urbangardening #3dprinting #3dprinted #sustainabledesigner

Please help 🆘 We want your plastic bottle lids! 📣 Plastic lids usually end up in the recycling bin, but local artist Sean Rodrigo has found a way they can be reused them locally - and who doesn’t love the circular economy! Sean Rodrigo AKA @thefixatorium is a local creator, you may know him for the mini food banks around E17, and he’s looking for old plastic bottle lids or caps to reuse in his 3D printer. So when Sean approached us asking us to save our old plastic bottle lids, we were only too happy to help. He will wash them, shred them, then injection mould or extrude them into new items such as combs, lamps, fruit bowls, earrings, key rings or coasters - as part of community projects in East London. The type of plastic is known as HDPE and is most commonly found on plastic bottles of milk and bottles of fizzy drinks. ♻️ ➡️ If you want to drop off any clean/washed plastic bottle lids to Today Bread in E5 or E17 our team will happily keep them safe and pass on to Sean. 📍 119 Today Bread, 119 Lower Clapton Road, E5 0NP 📍 Today Bread, 6-10 Central Parade, 137 Hoe Street, London E17 4RT Please give @thefixatorium a follow and DM Sean if you have any questions about the project. He’s a very nice chatty artist that will love to tell you more! I love making scale model demo versions of technology! I’ve 3d printed enlarged 3d printing extruders, electrical plugs and even wood screws to quickly and easily explain concepts that might no be easy to see or understand when presenting to a class. Kinda wish this could be a product I sell to schools!
