Care for some company with your cup of tea? Our monumental Robert Burns Chimney-Piece can be found in the lobby and depicts various characters and scenes from the work of Burns, Scotland’s national poet, as well as a portrait of the bard himself. Sit for a while in one of our velvet armchairs and study the artwork, which seems to reveal something new every time you view it. To discover more of the Fife Arms art collection, visit the ‘Art’ page on our website.

An innovator and reformer, Prince Albert was the beloved husband of Queen Victoria and a keen patron of the arts. Our Prince Albert suite is a warm and opulent space which enjoys views of Braemar Kirk and the hills beyond. Deep blue wallpapers designed in the mid-19th century are paired with velvet furnishings and blue-and-white china, recalling the palette the Prince himself favoured in his homes. Paintings in oil and watercolour recall the landscapes of the Thuringian Highlands of Bavaria, where he first fell in love with mountain walking in his youth, alongside works depicting the Scottish Highlands which he came to adore during his married life. Visit our website to explore our Victoriana Suites and book your stay.

Jane Carr's Nae Bother collection for the Fife Arms shop celebrates the whimsical stories of the hotel, including our iconic Flying Stag who leaps across tees and corduroy caps. The Flying Stag was created by the renowned artist James Prosek, who is known for his paintings of unique, hybrid animals. The animal is a union of two familiar creatures in the landscapes which surround the Fife Arms – the wings of a ptarmigan, a bird that lives on the highest peaks of the Cairngorms, and a stag, commonly found in the forested Dee Valley. Follow the link in bio to shop the Nae Bother collection.
