Just stumbled across this photo of one of the coolest nights I’ve ever been a part of… Got to sing a song in a band with my absolute hero @terrydadbag to celebrate the music of my all-time favorite band @officialthegunclub@zebulonla back in 2021. Got to sing a sleeper classic, Texas Serenade, which is a song that mystifies and inspires me to this day. Gun Club is deep in my veins when I’m making any music any time, Jeffrey Lee is a main muse.
Anyway, writing this, feeling nostalgic, hoping we can get the band back together some day.
Go put some Gun Club on, play it loud, it’s magical music.

I’ve been eagerly awaiting this record from the great Chris D. Bridging the gap to a degree between the ferocity of The Flesh Eaters and the rootsier Divine Horsemen, Courtroom Wedding has a live, immediate feel. The band is an all star lineup - Flesh Eaters alumni Larry Schemel and Johnny Ray along with Sharif Dumani. A great addition to Mr Desjardins’ catalog. I don’t believe the album is on streaming sites (yet?), so go ahead and purchase the vinyl from the great In The Red Records.

My March gigs have been some of the MOST FUN, most meaningful and creatively challenging, and most legendary of all time. Literally feeling so inspired and humbled to have collaborated with so many legends who I love and admire in the last 30 days. I wish I had photos of Pop Con to add to this too!!
These are a little out of order but this month kicked off with Distortion a new drag king punk night at @zebulonla which was such a fun project of bringing together live punk playing with drag kings and I can’t wait to do it again. I also performed with @alice_bag band at CSULA and at @dollfest Gato Calavera in Mexico City, she is winding down the Alice bag band so I am really loving the space we all share this year musically and in community. ❤️💖❤️ i also got to be a part of Jeanelle, Pony, Christos, and Gray’s incredible performance at Evoke III scoring adrenaline and emotion through percussion, working together with both musical movements and music created through each performers gestures. This was truly one for the books. I also had a few presentations which I need to see if I have any videos or photos from- but I have just been reflecting on how beautiful each of these events have been and I’m just filled w so much gratitude!!!!!!
