Sneak peak from our OurVinyl session with X-Ambassadors! We had a really fun idea on this one to blur the lines between a music video and live session, where we have a micro narrative lead in to the session. We also happened to be filming the last time LA was on fire, so the smoke clouds were rolling in as we were wrapping our last few shots. We had to drive back to our AirBnB to evacuate after the shoot, but ended up with some pretty cool shots, ha! . . . This was one of the most challenging sets to build and put together here at @theeclecticwest ! From structurally fixing up the shed, adding doors & windows, finding the gas pump, to sourcing all of the props and little details to bring it all home. It was no easy task and took an immense amount of time, but it’s certainly a crowd favorite out here and we absolutely love how it came together in the end! This is easily one of the things I’m most proud of in my career as a Filmmaker/Entrepreneur 🙏🏻 When I bought this 40acres of land in the middle of the California high desert, I had always envisioned of building a set like this, but I had no idea how I would make that happen let alone would people even travel all the way out here to shoot with it. I was SCARED, I took a massive risk and sunk a ton of my own time and money into this property (this set included) with no promise or guarantee if it would work or not… but it did! Big lessons learned from this investment & risk I took is “Build it and they will come” In 2024 make that move you’ve been too scared to make. Buckle down and just f*chin do it!
