Artcamp, the LA-based production company and creative studio, recently wrapped their first of five kit reveals for the year, kicking off a new era of storytelling in sport.
The crew set out to push past the typical constraints of stage or gameplay shoots, blending stylized visuals with the natural charisma and athleticism of the Albion players.
When asked what made this shoot stand out, the team shared:
“This was the first of five kit reveals we’re doing this year — last year we only did one, and it was honestly such a blast that we knew we had to scale it up this time around.
One of the first things we talked about was how we could capture the energy of the sport — the speed, the movement, the athleticism — so shooting in extreme slow motion for some of the most dramatic actions was a no-brainer.
We felt like a lot of kit reveal videos either shot on location featuring simulated gameplay, or filmed on a stage with the players’ movement and energy far more constrained. We wanted to land somewhere in the middle, combining the best of both worlds — something stylized, and heavily driven by the players’ movement and personality.
The best part? The Albion kids came in so fired up. They were proud to be there, to represent their team, and to just show us what they could do. They really made it special.”
