The Stars Align in Perfect Harmony Created and Curated by Alyson Moschcovich @theconnecticutbride ctalycat Stylized by Pansy Croft @pansypansy_stylist Photographed by Tiny Human Photography @tinyhuman Venue: Tarrywile Mansion @tarrywile.events   Stylist Pansy Croft: “The grounds and house of Tarrywile Mansion immerse you in a natural celestial feeling inside and out. Eternal love is present in the conservatory with an intimate setting of stars, crystal globes, mirrors, wrought-iron candelabras, quartz and glitter, projecting positivity, light and magic — the pure attraction of love and harmony.    Inspired by astronomy, the formal drawing room offers zodiac cocktail drinks, Moon Rocks coffee truffles, a star cake and an explosion of finger foods. The wedding party gathered in the library, showcasing stunning headpieces of Swarovski crystals, yards of white chiffon, star-studded fabric and a dancing paisley-vested tuxedo (all accented with hues of purple, blues and dusty rose), creating a mood for yearning and hope for ethereal love, romance and happily-ever-afters.”

Going Green Weddings are all about committing to one another as a couple. They can also reflect a couple’s commitment to minimize their carbon footprint. For those looking to make just such a statement, the elements of sustainable weddings — from photography and paper goods to florals, venues and cuisine — can be an expression of this desire.  Photo @jagstudios_photography The timeline for a wedding often kicks off with engagement photos, and there’s no better time to go eco-friendly. “You can be more conscious in every little detail of a wedding,” Jacklyn Greenberg, co-founder of JAGStudios in Greenwich and New Haven. Start with choosing a photographer who’s aligned with your message. “This happens through connection and conversation with your photographers,” she says. “It’s important to find vendors who are good at what they do, but also at being kind to the Earth.” JAGStudios follows a planet-friendly approach through the use of environmentally responsible packaging like print boxes made from craft paper and delivering artwork in unbleached and natural cotton canvas bags. Plus, couples receive the finished product wrapped in biodegradable cellulose, which brings with it an extra perk, “Clients can see through to the artwork, so don’t have to unwrap it and risk it being damaged.”   #greenwedding #seeingthepretty #weddingplanner #ecofriendly #gogreen #lovetheearth #howtoplanmywedding #planningsteps #weddingdetails #weddingstyle #ecobride #lowkeybride #relaxedbride #soontobemrs #weddingday #brideinspo #instaweddingstory #ctweddings #ctwedding #weddinglovestory #ctbride #weddingideas #beautifulwedding

The Rambling Inn Damian Cashman and Troy Stuckey firmly believe that “every good idea starts with a pint, a pen and a napkin.” Which is exactly how The Rambling Inn, the mobile Irish pub they spent nine months building from the chassis of what was once a fifth-wheel RV, got its start. Their final product is as authentic as the sawdust on the floor, the deep, dark Guinness and smooth Irish whiskey behind the bar, and the tales Damian tells of his childhood in Tipperary. Sláinte! Another of our spring/summer 2021 Real Wedding couples. Danielle Olmstead has spent much of her life “in the back of airplanes.” Indeed, with a grandfather and father who were/are pilots and a sister who has since joined them, “I grew up in aviation,” the Southbury native says. “It’s something you’re born into it. It’s in your blood.” In fact, although she now works in the aerospace industry in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area, Danielle once worked at Waterbury-Oxford Airport, where on Oct. 12, 2019, following a poignant 1:30 p.m. ceremony at the Church of the Assumption in Ansonia, she and Michael Ukanowicz celebrated their marriage with an aviation-themed reception. Another of our spring/summer 2021 Real Wedding couples. When Marissa Lucey and Taylor Fuller began planning their “I do’s”, “Taylor’s big thing was that he wanted our ceremony to be outside,” Marissa says, but, luckily, he wasn’t fussy about the particulars. “Right from the beginning he said, ‘I’d marry you in the backyard; I don’t care where,’ ” Marissa remembers — and as it turns out that’s exactly what came to be on Sept. 5, 2020, when Marissa and Taylor exchanged vows in the wooded yard of the bride’s childhood home in Somers. It might not have been the original plan (more on that in a minute), but it turned out “to be better than I ever expected,” the new bride says. Simply, “amazing.” Read the rest of their story in The Connecticut Bride (link in bio) Photography by @definingstudios Officiant Peter Gostin Dress designer Essence of Australia   @essence_of_australia Dress boutique Las Trina Girls Bridal Salon, Middletown @lastrinagirlsbridalsalon Headpiece/earrings OHBRIDAL (Etsy)   Shoes Badgley Mischka @badgleymischka Bridesmaids’ dresses Jenny Yoo @jennyyoonyc Bridesmaids’ dress boutique Bella Bridesmaids, West Hartford @bellabridesmaids Tuxedos Men’s Wearhouse @menswearhouse Jewelry Hannoush Jewelers, Danbury   @hannoushjewelers Videographer Defining Studios, Hartford @definingstudios DJ Local Motion Entertainment, Wallingford   @localmotionent Caterer Taco Loco Catering, Bridgeport   @tacolococt Florist Colonial Flower Shoppe, Somers   Cake Alice Craig and Debbie Fuller   Makeup/hair Larissa Lake and Co., Wethersfield   Invitations Evite   Rentals  Sunshine Tent Rentals, Somers   Photo booth Luna PhotoLounge, Wallingford @lunaphotoloungect

Our spring/summer 2021 Real Wedding couples. Julia Rotella and Nick Ferrigno are high school sweethearts who met on the bus on their way to Masuk High School in Monroe at the start of the 2010-11 school year. They quickly became the best of friends and were “inseparable” that whole year, remembers Julia — but they were just friends. Sure, the handsome junior had asked the bright-eyed sophomore out on numerous occasions, but, worried about placing their friendship in jeopardy, “I always turned him down,” says Julia, who admits that “everyone knew we were going to end up together, except me.” Finally, she says, “Nick gave up” — prompting his friend Julia to come to her senses (smart man) and on Aug. 25, 2011, they went on their first official date. Nine years later, on Aug. 25, 2020, they eloped and were married on the waterfront at the Madison Beach Hotel.
