ESINAM and Sibusile Xaba is a meeting of nomadic, wandering and kindred spirits in music.
“blending Ghanaian highlife, cosmic gospel, analogue trance and infectious positivity. They are the missing link between Fela Kuti and Ibeyi”
Both artists draw upon their ancestry—ESINAM (Belgian-Ghanaian) and Sibusile Xaba (Kwazulu Natal, South Africa)—through a unique connection. They use deep artistic and spiritual levels, employing rhythms and grooves to translate stories to the audience.
This project started in Johannesburg in 2023, so the duo is super excited to be coming back to South Africa as part of their “Healing Voices Africa Tour”. Don’t miss their final performance of their Southern African tour at The Chairman in Durban on Sunday, 7th June 2026.

@ndabo moves between trumpet and keys, summoning melody and harmony as one voice. @leagan_starchild bends time itself through drums and keys, where rhythm and resonance pulse together. @f_deeezus completes the circle, shaping the unseen through keys and triggers - stretching sound into memory and space.
What emerges is a layered architecture of sound: dense yet spacious, intricate yet instinctive. A conversation between worlds where rhythm remembers, harmony listens, and texture dreams.
Here, the idea of a big band is reimagined.
not as quantity, but as depth.
not as volume, but as presence.
Freedom Day Salutes, my good peoples! Only 3 weeks to go before @eonthemod begins to MAKE UBUNTU GREAT AGAIN at The Chairman in Durban. Ticket sales are open and the early bird price is well played. But what are you looking to book for?
You’re booking for a proper system rocking sound that doesn’t come around town all that often, booking for that night to remember how to get together, for that pro performance, for that Electric Poetry experience: all the way from France, the modular maestro Charles Amblard and the sound design doctor Vincent Hoppe link up with brother like (m)Ewok to slingshot some sonic stones up the chain to see about maybe dropping some of those at the top.
Did I mention we are followed on the evening by the exceptional EQNOX act? We are indeed.
Long story short, let’s get together and make it a night to feel alright. Get your tickets now at Quicket.

Some music never got the chance to be heard. Until now.
@bokanidyer & @gareth_lockrane present a tribute to the great Bheki Mseleku, bringing to life a body of work that remained unrecorded at the time of his passing.
In his final years, Mseleku worked closely with Lockrane in the UK, leaving behind a collection of compositions that have, until now, lived only in memory and manuscript.
