⚙️ @gearchangesa came to The Ceder and did it all. Mechanic in the race village keeping everyone rolling, and owner David George (still very much a weapon) finishing 7th overall 🔥 Couldn’t ask for a better Bike Shop Partner! Thanks for having our backs out there 👊

Still thinking about Sunday 🇿🇦🏆 @_tristannortje_ & @mattbeers55 🙌 First all South African team to win the @capeepic ! We know what Tristan is capable of, we’ve seen it. We also saw the mechanical at The Ceder in 2025. That hurt. But it didn’t define him. Sunday did! Proud of both of them 🫶🇿🇦❤️‍🔥 📷 1-3 @jess_meniere 📷 4-7 @whoshotpippa

We may have broken Simon, The Ceder does that. No regrets though, the good times were very much worth it! 😉 DNF on the board, smile still intact 🙂 Ceder’s got his name on it now. He’s coming back for it in 2027 🤝

Making the finish even with a flat!💪 The kind of finish that says everything about why we do this. Some days it’s not about the time, the position, or the plan. It’s just about getting yourself to that finish line, no matter what. 😉 📸 @jade_barnatt_

Tyres slashed by some rocks, at around 35kms into Gran Fondo, Emma had to call her race early, and hitch a ride back to the start line. This is just one riders experience of the DNF on race day, and Emma had some thoughts to share about it. 😉 When we asked Emma what she would say to someone who also DNF’d , or someone hesitant to enter because it might happen, her message was simple:”It’s completely okay to feel disappointed. There’s no value in denying or pushing down those negative feelings. Yes, it sucks. But at the end of the day, the good moments and the joy of a day out on your bike should be why you ride. Feel the extreme highs, and accept the extreme lows. Keep questioning your “why”, step back when you need to, and appreciate the experiences your bike gives you.” 🚴 There was a lot riding on this weekend for Emma. The Ceder Gran Fondo was a key qualifier for upcoming races, and after the DNF she now needs to look at alternative qualification routes. Despite that, she stayed in great spirits, even jumping onto the back of a media motorbike just to take in the scenery - and made it very clear she’ll be back in the Cederberg next year. She has some big races ahead, including the Cape Epic, and we’re wishing her all the luck. We can’t wait to see you cross The Ceder finish line in 2027. 🌼 📸 @whoshotpippa
